It's a sign the cold has taken hold now.

Within the next few days any remaining insects that don't hibernate will die off.

Wasp queens will have entered their diapause in which their body stops functioning completely, they produce a natural antifreeze which stops their bodies freezing and being destroyed.

Cluster flies might be active inside for a few days as the heating will slow down their descent into sleep

Rat season is now in full swing.

Work boots.

I've just brought some work boots off Amazon, JCB slip ons they were £50.00

I've worn them for the last hour outside while cleaning the van. The right one was really hurting so I checked the size again and I've ordered an 11 and I need a 12.

Before I try and clean them to send back, does anyone want to buy them off me?

They're absolutely amazing boots. Usually a pair lasts me about 15 months.

I've just ordered another pair in the right size! God help me sometimes..

This was ten minutes into my first job. I've ended the day feeling like seaweed haha.

I'm home now, heating burning a hole into the ozone, dry clothes, bagel scoffed & coffee slurping.

I'm not moving until dinner time!

Ughh.... What a day to find out your boots are broken!

Horrific... I'll have trench foot by midday.

Two jobs left on today's list. Home to do a ton of reports. Get them uploaded/emailed out.

Then I think I'll sit drinking coffee until Monday morning!

Actually, it's The Grooming Room - Award Winning Barbers tomorrow to handsome myself up and then I'm being mega organised by going Christmas shopping which will include food and coffee for sure.

Remember pests don't rest.

Currently I have bedbugs on the list, bird proofing, rats, squirrels and cluster flies!

Second contract set up this morning. We all know CalypsoAshby was agreed just over 2 weeks ago, but today is the start of a 12 month contract.

Again, this kitchen is incredibly clean with all new fit for purpose equipment. The standards are high and I know they will be kept this way.

After being in the bakery and then in here to set up I am now even more hungry. The smells on the kitchen were incredible.

I can't wait to eat there. And if you see me eating somewhere you know that's saying something!

Contract number one set up today.

Lucy Claire Bakes is a beautiful new bakery on Bath street in Ashby. Some real time, effort and care has gone into getting this place set up and ready for the public.

High standards from the very beginning and to keep the standards high they have asked me to do their pest control for the next 12 months.

Working together with more and more local businesses to keep them compliant with food standards.

It smelled amazing in there. I'm starving now craving biscuits and coffee!!

Clusterfly season is upon us!!

These are just a couple of the ones trying to escape the loft after it was fogged this morning.

Standing under the loft hatch you can hear them buzzing loudly due to the insecticide.
