We’re heading to Clearwell Farm for their Halloween Pumpkin Patch, and I couldn’t be more excited! 🍂 This family run farm looks like one of the best autumn attractions around, perfect for families looking for that seasonal magic. From pumpkin picking to spooky fun, it promises to be a day full of smiles (and maybe a few frights 😉).

This one means a lot. It’s from my very last visit to Coney Beach Porthcawl a place that’s been full of laughter, memories, and seaside magic for over 100 years. 🎡💔

Walking through for the final time was emotional… seeing the rides, the arcade lights, the smell of chips and candy floss in the air, all the things that made our summers so special. It’s the end of an era, but I wanted to capture those final moments so we can all remember them together.

What a day it’s been at Coney Beach Porthcawl the final day after 100 incredible years. 💔🎢

It’s honestly hard to put into words how emotional today has been. Saying goodbye to lifelong friends, ride owners, and so many familiar faces who have made this place what it is… it’s been overwhelming. Hearing everyone’s stories and memories generations of laughter, holidays, and childhoods spent here it really hit home just how much Coney Beach has meant to so many people.

I met fans of the channel, people I’ve known through Coney over the years, and even those who just wanted to share a memory or a thank you. Every conversation, every smile (and tear), reminded me that this place was never just a fairground it was part of our lives.

Of course, I filmed the final day of operation from the rides running one last time to the moment the gates closed for the very last time. I’ll be editing that tomorrow, and I know it’s going to be a tough one to put together.

Thank you, Coney Beach, not just for my childhood, but for my kids’ childhood too. 💙 You’ve given us memories that will never fade.

Due to the severe weather warnings associated with Storm Amy we have just made the difficult but neccesary decision NOT to open or set the fireworks off today!

OUR LAST DAY OF OPENING AND END OF ERA FIREWORKS WILL BE TOMORROW SUNDAY 5th OCTOBER!!!

We understand how disappointing this news is but we cannot control the weather!

Thank you for your understanding and please stay safe during Storm Amy 💙

🌅 Good Morning Everyone 🌅

Today is a bittersweet one. It’s the very last day Coney Beach will ever open its gates before closing for good. After over 100 years of laughter, thrills, and seaside magic, we’re saying goodbye to a place that holds so many incredible memories for generations. 🎡✨

It’s going to be an emotional day sharing smiles, tears, and thank-yous with everyone who has been part of this journey. I’ll be down there this afternoon filming, capturing these final moments. If you’re around, please come and say hi as we celebrate the joy and the memories one last time. 💙

Here’s to Coney Beach the rides, the laughter, and the countless stories it gave us. Thank you for the memories. 🏖️

October is shaping up to be MEGA busy here on Breaking Trails and I couldn’t be more excited!

While the big events always grab the headlines, I’m setting my sights on the incredible local family attractions that deserve the spotlight too. These hidden gems often get overlooked, but they’re packed with heart, creativity, and fun for everyone and that’s exactly where this channel is heading! 💥

Here’s what’s coming up this spooky season:

👉 After Dark Scream Park at Trago Mills, This one looks absolutely epic. A scream park like no other, and I’ll be there to dive right in!
👉 Clearwell Farm A cosy pumpkin patch with loads of family activities, perfect for making those autumn memories.
👉 The Black Cat Pumpkin Patch A family run event that’s all about younger families. The amount of effort and love poured into this local attraction is incredible, I can’t wait to explore it.
👉 Gower Fresh Christmas Trees Pumpkin picking with a twist… roasted marshmallows by the fire. Yes, please! 🔥
👉 And finally, the big one… Cardiff Halloween Festival I’ll be stepping aboard a ghost ship for the very first time and sailing straight to Halloween Island. This is going to be huge.

🍂 Whether it’s pumpkins, ghost ships, or family fun, this October is going to be packed full of adventure and I’ll be bringing you along for every single step.
