Why Eat Wild? 🪶

Studies have shown that wild game meat is typically lower in fat and has higher protein percentages than any other red meat on the market. When comparing farmed meats with wild game there is a noticeable texture and leaner fat content that provides better flavour to your dishes as well as obvious health benefits to your diet and nutritional health. Not to mention that by preparing and eating the game we shoot; we address any concerns people may have about the ethics of eating wild game🔫

What are the additional benefits?🤨

- Wild game is more nutrient dense, meaning that the meat is high in vitamin and mineral content in relation to its weight.

- It is lower in calories and saturated fat.

- It contains less sodium, providing healthy blood pressure, better brain health and a healthier function of the kidneys.
Although these are only a handful of positives to eating wild game there are many more to discuss.

Lady’s Wood Shooting School is just one of the many shooting schools available to us in the Southwest. Established in 1982 offering clay shooting lessons, pay and play practice, corporate facilities and so much more.
Lady’s Wood Shooting School not only offers six onsite towers, sporting targets, their famous extreme tower, and grouse butt but the also otter services such as their sporting agency for all of your exclusive shoot days throughout the game season🪶

During your visit to Lady’s Wood, I recommend browsing their beautiful range of new and used guns in their very own Sportarm Gunroom. In addition to guns, they also have a few other essentials for you to purchase such as cartridges, clothing and footwear, everything you might be missing for those upcoming days in the field🍂

Open Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 4:30pm, make sure to pop by and say hello to their wonderful team.

Why do I love shooting?🔫

I remember feeling a rush of excitement after shooting my first clay and from then on it became apparent to me that my shooting journey was only just beginning. It’s addictive, challenging and it pushes you in a way that makes you courageous. That’s why I love the sport!❤️

3 years on and I’ve not only shot my first two game days but I’ve also shot my very first competition at The Royal Berkshire Shooting School with a very good friend of mine.

What an incredible 3 years shooting it has been. I can’t wait to see what the new year brings✨

For those of you who don't know me, my names Katie and I currently work for one of the UK's many marketplaces for all things guns, accessories and more🔫

However, I am also madly passionate about the countryside and field sports.
Since the age of 4 I have been a keen horse rider, this has led me to fall in love the world of shooting, beating and the gun industry🪶

Along the way I have met some incredibly experienced and knowledgeable people and I hope to share some of my work with you all to help promote the pursuits we all know and love.
