On this day in 2007, the world's oldest known surviving Rolls-Royce was sold for a record-breaking £3.5 million at a Bonhams auction. The 1904 vehicle was the fourth Rolls-Royce ever built and was purchased by an anonymous bidder, setting a new world record for a veteran car at the time. 😀

On December 2, 1927, the Ford Motor Company unveiled the Ford Model A as the successor to the iconic Ford Model T, which had been in production for 19 years. The Model A was the first Ford to use the standard set of controls, including a conventional clutch, brake, and accelerator pedal.

On December 1, 1913, Henry Ford's revolutionary moving assembly line began mass-producing the entire Ford Model T automobile. This innovation dramatically reduced the time it took to build a car from more than 12 hours to an astonishing one hour and 33 minutes. 😮
