🎬 We’re looking for new Non-Executive Directors to join the Create Studios Board!

Create is growing, and we’re looking for people who can bring new ideas, experience and different perspectives to help shape the future of Create.

You don’t need previous Board experience. We’re interested in people with experience in areas including film and broadcast, digital and technology, higher education, cultural funding, finance, legal, marketing and communications — as well as people who can bring different perspectives and lived experience.

The role is voluntary, with quarterly Board meetings and the opportunity to help shape the work we do, the talent we support and the communities we work with.

Today marks the final day of our latest Create Futures cohort.😭

Over the past 10 weeks, our grads have been developing their skills, gaining hands-on experience and working together on a range of creative projects. It’s been fantastic to see their confidence grow and watch them take on new challenges throughout the programme.

A special shout out to , who has supported and mentored this cohort throughout their time with us. Having previously been part of Create Futures herself, it’s brilliant to see alumni coming back and helping the next generation of creatives.

We won’t be running another Create Futures cohort for a little while, but we’re incredibly proud of this group and excited to see where they go next.

🎥 We're proud to have been part of a little piece of Swindon's history!

The week before last, our team had the pleasure of filming the very first TEDxRailway Village event – the first-ever TEDx event to be held in Swindon.

It was a brilliant day filled with inspiring speakers, great conversations, and a real sense of community. We love being able to support local events that celebrate creativity, innovation, and some of the amazing people making a difference in our town.

A huge congratulations to everyone who helped make the event such a success.

Earlier this week, we hosted a local election debate with Swindon24 Election Debate Facebook Live bringing together candidates, residents and community voices ahead of today’s vote.

As a CIC, our role is to create accessible spaces for conversation, engagement and participation within the community and it was positive to see people come together to discuss local issues and hear directly from those standing for election!

Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed and helped make the evening happen.
