Yesterday I took a drive through the Wiltshire countryside to Tilshead to spend time with Barbara Leatham of The Business Lens - Barbara Leatham Photography and the gorgeous Carter whilst we planned future content. I couldn't wait to take lots of photos and I think this is my favourite one!

I had a brilliant start to the day. This was my second meeting at Professional Connections of Wiltshire promoting my business and talking about what a great week I've had working with new clients like Ali Wiltshire of Fiscal Business Services and Fiona Scott of Scott Media!

Networking on a Friday is a brilliant way to start the final day of the working week. We had presentations from Andy Entwistle and Rob Young who told us about their working history and how they ended up doing what they do now.

Unfortunately I won't be there at the next meeting (but I'll be in London!) but I'm looking forward to the next one!

How do rainy days make you feel?

Sometimes I can find it hard to get motivated when I see the rain outside - other days my focus is on point because it's raining so why would I go anywhere?!

Today I have photos for The Care Show with Janet Shreeve and Kevin Griffiths and we chose Devizes for it's beautiful locations and the weather is pants!

It will all work out though - we all know Barbara Leatham is a genius when it comes to photos!

Do you have the rest of your year planned?

As I take on more responsibilities outside of the business and as this one grows my diary is filling up quicker than normal. I told a client yesterday that I know I'm getting successful because looking at my diary is 'scary!'

I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean that I remember those days when business was slow to grow, then as it started to fill up with VA work and care shifts, the pandemic hit and things went very quiet again!

Now my diary is getting full again and business is growing nicely and I've expanded into other things as well looking at it is a good scary and I'm loving it!

September is my favourite month and this one is already proving to be no exception!
One of the reasons I love September is because autumn starts and it's my favourite season (September is almost my birth month so the three align well!). The reason I love autumn so much is because the leaves change colour, the weather is (usually!) the perfect temperature - hoodies, cosy jackets, blankets whilst watching the television!

Happy bank holiday everyone!

What are you doing today? You can guarantee that I'll be getting in some reading! I'm on book 36 of the year and my target was 30 throughout the year so I think I'm doing well!

REFLECTING ON MY INSPIRATIONS

Did you know that It’s Senior Citizens Day today?

I wanted to use today to reflect on people who inspired me when I was younger, my nana and grandad being two of them. They looked after me a lot when I was a child. My grandad taught me a lot including maths, fishing and life lessons.

My nana made great food and was always very helpful when I had something that I wanted to talk about or when it came to answering questions I had about things. They are still two of the kindest and most generous people I know and I’m very lucky to still have them here with me now.

My biggest learning for today is that it is always important to listen to people with life experience and appreciate what they have given to the world.

Please use today to remember what seniors in your life have done for you and what you could do for them.
