What not everyone knows is that it’s also part of something much bigger.

The Moira Canal Festival helps raise awareness of, and money for, the restoration, extension and maintenance of the Ashby Canal – helping support the long-term work to reconnect Moira and the surrounding area to the national waterways network.

So yes, come for the boats, the food, the music and the atmosphere.

But know that by coming along, you’re also supporting something with real local meaning behind it 💚
