We have recently completed the supply and installation of a 9 wire IRS system to a block of flats in Birmingham. This system provides Freeview TV and Sky Q, along with signals from Hotbird, to the lounges of the 33 apartments. A secondary cable for Thor satellite has also been installed for future use.

The installation involved new cabling to each apartment on the outside of the tower, which was installed in galvanised metal trunking. This was subsequently covered over by the EWI by others. Access for the cable install was via scaffolding supplied and installed by others.

On the roof, new metal tray work was installed for the 4 vertical drops back to new metal cabinets housing the satellite multiswitches. New dishes were installed on non-penetrating ground mounts with a new aerial for the freeview services.

In each apartment, we installed a cable and a new outlet plate complete with pattress.

We recently supplied and installed a 77" LG OLED Television and SONOS Arc Soundbar. Customer then proceeded with 2 x ERA 100s for rear audio channel along with wireless subwoofer.

Recently, we installed an internal intercom system between two bars in a social club. Due to the high noise levels during functions, we incorporated a strobe function to provide a visual alert, notifying staff of incoming calls. A reset button on the strobe allows staff to deactivate the flashing once the call has been answered.

Our Story

RF Digital Systems came into being when Binley Aerial and Satellite Services based in Coventry and Rayler Systems based in Birmingham merged to form the new company, both of the original companies had over 35 years of experience in the TV and Satellite industry. RF Digital was originally based in Birmingham and carried out installations of systems for Councils, House Builders, Electrical contractors, in Bars and Nightclubs, all sectors of the Hotel industry, various NHS Trusts, the Education sector and domestic customers. In 2012 we relocated to an office in Tamworth where, we have been since. We are members of the Confederation of Aerial Industries (CAI) and RDI, all our engineers are CRB checked and hold CSCS cards and senior engineers hold current licences for PASMA and IPAF and are SSSTS Qualified. Last year we completed a course in Home Automation and are Control 4 accredited enabling us to automate any room or entire property whether commercial or residential.

We provide a one stop design, supply and installation solution to customers for TV, Satellite, Data, CCTV, Public Address, IPTV, Automation, TV/Satellite over Fibre, Induction loops and A/V solutions including Cinema rooms.

We are included in specifications from many local and national consultants and architects and assist them through every stage of a project from conception to completion and ongoing maintenance. We have designed system for small domestic installations through to multiple blocks of apartments all fed from a single aerial/satellite array. We assess each site and design the system based on the site specific restrictions, and evaluate the most suitable type of system for each project.

Although historically we were aerial and satellite specialist, we realised a few years ago that we would need to diversify and embrace new technology to enable us to survive in today's technology based world. With this in mind, we trained in the latest fibre distribution technology, are Control 4 approved and are constantly training in all fields of our industry.
