when Harry circuit bent a tape machine and made tape loops out of cassette tapes!

A week ago, we went off to record Voce Chamber Choir Taunton in a beautiful church. Amazing singers and great fun!

I used a Mid-Side set up for some far mics which gives a lovely stereo image. Then some small condensers for each section of the choir. This ended up somewhere in between spot mics and double spaced pairs with how close I could reach each section… I’m very lucky to have minimal phasing issues and all in all I think it sounds great!

Whoops! It’s been a long time since we’ve posted… 😅 We are still here makin’ music!
Here’s some things very little and not crazy Harry’s been up to since our last post!
1. Had a little one… admittedly that one is quite crazy 🥰
2. Bought even more gear!
3. Played fun little cigar box guitars so the little one.
4. Climbed a mountain (not really but it was only a few meters lower 😂)
5. Went to Glastonbury and showed the new human all the important bits 😄
6. Did sound effects, video design and AV set up for a Panto… was a busy few weeks!
7. Nerd-ed out over a mini broadcast van…
8. Went to Glastonbury (again!) - Biffy Clyro was my favourite
9. And most recently, recorded a choir on location. More posts coming about that soon!

We get quite a lot of spider webs around The Shed, and they look particularly nice this time of year 🥰
But don't be put off if you're not a spider fan - we don't see any actual spiders very often! 🫣
