Another roaringly successful day with the brilliant team at All Things Wild Zoo & Dinosaur Park! 🦖

Rexy was allowed out of his paddock for a little walk today… although he insists it was a “highly important visitor inspection.” 🙄😂

Fortunately, we managed to negotiate with him and convinced him that visitors are for entertaining, not eating! 🍖

There were a few suspicious sniffs, some dramatic stomping and one or two moments where Rexy looked at the children like they were on the lunch menu… but thankfully, everyone survived! 😅

Rexy says: “I can’t promise the same next time…” 👀🦖

But whilst Green Rexy may think he’s the king around here… rumours are spreading that something much bigger, louder and far more hungry is on its way… 😳

A shadow is growing.

The ground is beginning to tremble.

And soon… THE RED REX WILL ARRIVE 👑

Will you be brave enough to meet the Tyrant Lizard King? 👀🍖

Get ready for the ultimate prehistoric rumble because Dino Throwdown is about to get real!

A sun drenched arena where three wildly different fighting styles are about to collide in a chaotic clash for survival. In one corner, we have the Therizinosaurus, a towering giant rocking terrifying, three foot Wolverine (X-MEN style) claws that can slice through the air like butter.

But can it keep up with the sleek, hyper intelligent Velociraptor slicing through the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike?

Just when you think it’s a two way brawl, a scrappy tag team of two Protoceratops charges into the mix, packing bone crushing beaks and a fierce "never back down" attitude. It is raw power versus lethal speed versus pure teamwork!

Who walks out of the arena alive, and who becomes history?

Meet Triceratops, the ultimate Cretaceous herbivore!

This iconic three horned giant roamed North America 68 to 66 million years ago and was perfectly engineered for survival.Weighing up to 12 tons and stretching 30 feet long, its massive frame was balanced by a heavy, muscular tail that provided incredible stability and movement.

As a strict herbivore, it used a sharp parrot like beak to snip through tough, low lying plants, fuelling its massive body.

When it came to defence against apex predators like T-Rex, this walking fortress was fully equipped. Its famous three horns growing up to 3 feet long paired with a solid bony neck frill acted as an impenetrable shield, proving you didn't need to be a carnivore to dominate the ancient world.

Raptors World - Roarsome Dinosaur Entertainment world famous Triceratops named “Dozer” was far too fast for Metriacanthosaurus on this occasion, but Dino Dave will be hitting the treadmill more often to work on that pace!

DINO DAVE: INFORMATION FILES...

Meet the Stegosaurus, one of the most iconic giants of the Late Jurassic period! Roaming North America around 150 million years ago, this gentle herbivore was a true heavyweight, growing up to a size equal to an adult bull African elephant and weighing around an impressive 7 tons. Despite its massive size, it navigated its world with a brain no larger than a walnut!

Its unique posture was shaped by its legs. Its back legs were twice as long as its short front limbs, giving it a distinctively slouched, head down profile that kept it low to the ground for grazing. Standing tall along its arched spine were 17 upright, kite shaped plates used for temperature regulation or display.

For defense against fierce predators like Allosaurus, it relied on its weaponized tail. Armed with four lethal, two foot long spikes. The Stegosaurus could swing its tail side to side with devastating force.

It was a slow moving but incredibly well defended vegetarian that even swallowed small rocks to help grind up food in its stomach!
