World Heritage sites are linked to the culture, history, tradition, and values of their locals, so why is it that they are rarely involved in the decision-making of their land?
The answer lies in the lack of information and tools made available to them; this has created a huge roadblock for their participation in the tourism development of their home. And as community involvement is essential for the preservation of world heritage, the UNESCO Chair and USI have created training programs through ICTs with the necessary tools and information to combat this and manage their tourism sites sustainably.
With that said, we are honoured to have collaborated with them by creating videos to help promote their mission to develop sustainable tourism in World Heritage Sites.
