Had a bit of fun this morning making a wide poster for our short film. It's released on Sunday afternoon on our Vimeo channel if anyone's interested.

Booted takes the form of a parent's message to their child, narrated while remembering the course of their life via the medium of their footwear. It was filmed in 2024 across various locations in South West England, and rooted further in the region with contributions from BOVTS graduate actor Olivia Edwards; Exeter singer-songwriters Sound of the Sirens; and Devon-based voice-over artist and actor Simon Alison.

The short video on this news post explains perfectly what we've found on algorithm-driven Social Media run by large American corporations, and offers what appears a viable alternative. We've certainly found that our own presence on "the fediverse" attracts more interest than anything we post here, and we're able to run it ourselves.

A year ago today we filmed "Things We Do For Love" with Sarah Lidstone, Josh Alexander and Molly Jackson. It was a lot of fun, shot in half-a-day at Liznojan and brings a little fun to a debate that still rages to this day.
