On Sunday August 25th we will celebrate our first "E"- a milestone that marks a significant and historic moment in our nine-year journey of experimental psychological testing.
As many of you are aware, our history has been fraught with a variety of preventive difficulties, including health and safety disputes, legal hurdles, and interference from concerned parties, site owners and management. These difficulties have repeatedly forced us to prematurely discontinue each series of operations at various sites. To date, we have not been able to conduct more than four Listening Tests within a single series. The last Listening Test (6B) before series seven this year took place in 2018 at The Railway - Greenfield and utilised the now sadly defunct stimulus Mothertongue.
On Thursday June 27, 2021 a Site Installation Interface Trial and Safety Assessment utilising contrasting auditory materials Thomas Truax, Hot Pink Sewage and Experimental Sonic Machines) was carried out at The Peer Hat in Manchester. The Site Installation Interface Trial and Safety Assessment represents a rigorous set of protocols, safety measures, and practices that we have developed in collaboration with a wide range of experts in order to address the obstacles we've encountered and to identify any potential challenges going forward. After two additional years of collaboration and legal refinement, we conducted five more Site Installation Interface Trial and Safety Assessments between September and November of last year at various sites across Greater Manchester and Calderdale (The Eagle Inn, The Bank Top Tavern, The Golden Lion, Todmorden Unitarian Church and The Trades Club)
We are happy to report that we have since had no misunderstandings with any parties regarding the terms as stipulated within our contracts or otherwise. This is an outcome we are very pleased with.
It has taken a long time and great effort to reach this point. Therefore, it is with great pleasure and immense satisfaction that we present:
