With a fresh playground wound from Friday and armed with our Sainsbury’s meal deals picked up en route, we headed over to Lullingstone Country Park today to meet friends and make the most of the glorious British sunshine. ☀️

Set across 460 acres of chalk grassland and ancient woodland, Lullingstone is one of our favourite local country parks. Most of the walking routes take you through the golf course, offering beautiful views of before winding alongside the stream and leading you back to the visitor centre.

There are plenty of picnic benches dotted along the way, a café, play areas for the children, and it’s also close to Castle Farm Kent famous for its stunning lavender fields, if you fancy stopping by for a browse.

It was the perfect day to get outdoors, catch up with friends, and enjoy everything this lovely spot has to offer. 🌿💜

With Father’s Day coming up, here are some of my favourite gift ideas to treat your dad this year!

🚤 A trip on Tonbridge River Trips
We did this last year with my parents and two children, and it was such a lovely experience. The one-hour trip is a beautiful and relaxing way to see our wonderful town from a different perspective, spot local wildlife and enjoy the River Medway.

💆 A massage at Aquavie Boutique Spa
With so many treatments to choose from, there’s something for every dad – and you may even be tempted to book one for yourself!

🍽️ Lunch at one of our fantastic local pubs
From The Poacher & Partridge, The Kentish Rifleman, The Chaser Inn, The Plough, Leigh and the newly renovated The Never Say Never , there are plenty of great spots to enjoy a Father’s Day meal.

🥾 A local walk

Mum life can be pretty full-on sometimes, and it’s not always easy to find time to switch off or treat yourself. 💕

Here are my top 5 ways I like to treat me:

✨ 1. A face mask
Once a week (if I remember!), I love to indulge in a face mask. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy—there are so many reasonably priced options out there. It just gives my skin a chance to relax, unwind and hydrate, ready for the week ahead.

🦶 2. Foot socks
Recently, I’ve been enjoying using foot socks from Superdrug every 1–2 weeks (or more often since running the marathon back in April!). They help to hydrate and moisturise my feet, leaving them feeling so soft and refreshed. With all the walking I do every day, they’re the perfect little treat.

🚿 3. An everything shower
There’s nothing quite like an everything shower followed by a good moisturise! I’ve been loving the Daisy Amber & Rose body scrub to exfoliate, and then I’ll use one of the many body lotions I seem to have collected from birthdays and Christmases over the years. I’ve also been enjoying the Watermelon St. Tropez gradual tan to help ease me into summer before it properly arrives!

☕ 4. Iced coffee
I absolutely love iced coffee, especially at this time of year. I’ve found some great options to make at home and have been particularly enjoying the Nespresso concentrate coffees in different flavours. Add plenty of ice and your milk of choice, and it’s the perfect pick-me-up. I’ve recently tried a nutty vanilla oat milk and I’m obsessed!

🥗 5. Treating myself to a nice lunch
Every 1–2 weeks, I like to grab something nice for lunch. Sometimes it’s a meal deal from Tesco or Sainsbury’s, sometimes picnic bits and salad from Aldi, and sometimes something a little more exciting from a local café like Mary's. It’s such a simple thing, but it always feels like a treat.

These little things might seem small, but they really help me recharge and feel a bit more like me. ❤️
