Some exciting news! 📢

​We have a student joining the team here at Palm Torbay! Toby Hamilton is spending some time with us on the run up to his work experience in June.
​As part of this, Toby will be presenting his first-ever radio show tomorrow, Sunday, May 3rd, between 5–7 am. Don't worry, though—if you aren't awake at 5 am on a Sunday, you will be able to listen back to Toby's show on our Mixcloud page. Just search for "Palm Torbay Radio" on their website or app to catch up on any of our shows!

Exciting news! 📢📢📢

We're thrilled to officially welcome our newest presenter Karl Pearce to the Palm Torbay family!

You may have heard Karl's voice on Palm already as he's done some excellent cover shows but we're so happy to announce that Karl will be presenting two permanent shoes on the station!

Firstly, a bit about Karl:

"Alright Palm Torbay Radio listeners, My names Karl Pearce… a cheeky Cockney export from deepest, darkest East London, now roaming the airwaves with questionable confidence and a dangerously large playlist.

My first claim to fame? I went to school with Danny Dyer. Yes… that Danny Dyer off the telly. No, I won’t be name dropping constantly. I’ll only mention it at least once a show. Twice if the tea’s strong.

By day I work for the ambulance service, so I’m used to staying calm when things get chaotic. And because I clearly don’t enjoy relaxing, I also volunteer as crew with the RNLI. Basically, if you’re having a bad day on land or at sea… there’s a decent chance I’m turning up with a kit bag and a “you’ll be alright” face.

When I’m not doing that, you’ll probably find me on my Harley Davidson pretending I’m in a music video… until I remember I’m a grown man and my back clicks when I stand up.

Join me for great music, cheeky chat, music trivia, and a proper good laugh and yes, you’re absolutely getting involved whether you like it or not."
Karl will be taking over the Monday and Tuesday lunchtime slot from the wonderful Leah Goldstone who will be continuing with her Sunday and Wednesday lunchtime shows.

Karl's new show 'The Lunchtime Lift' will be two hours of the best hit music from the 80's up to the present day to motivate, inspire you and give you that midday boost!
