New presenter alert!

We're thrilled to welcome another new presenter to the team! Ted Wells will be joining Palm Torbay to present a new show on Wednesday mornings!

Ted will be presenting the Wednesday edition of 'The Mid-Morning Show' playing you two hours of hit music from the 80's up to the present day including new music that's climbing the charts!

A little bit about Ted: "Hi I'm Ted! I love music from so many different genres, from classic hits to dance, to metal, jazz and even a bit of reggae!! I also love to gig around the bay! I love going on walks around the coast and being outside and trying my best to make people smile and uplift their day! My life is all music orientated, and I cannot wait to share this with you when you next tune in! Come and join me as I play some absolute bangers and hopefully bring a smile to your face and uplift your day no matter where you are or what you're doing!!"

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of tragic loss of the talented Mikelle Hardy-Ingham.

Our hearts here at Palm Torbay are heavy as we mourn the devastating loss of a bright light in the radio world. Mikelle Hardy-Ingham was just 16 years old and brought so much passion and energy to the airwaves, touching countless listeners with her unique style and talent. Our thoughts go out to all of Mikelle's family and friends on this very difficult day 🤍.

Tonight, in honour of Mikelle, we will be airing a very special tribute show featuring a re-broadcast of 'The Mikelle Hardy Show' originally aired on Palm Torbay on the 15th May 2024. This 1 hour show will offer a chance for all who knew Mikelle to celebrate how talented, unique and special a person she was, including some of her unique sense of humour and fascinating banter. The show will also feature a tribute from our Station Manager - Jay Richards.

We have some schedule changes coming to Friday and Tuesday evenings here at Palm Torbay!

Tonight from 7.10pm will sadly be the last edition of 'Feelgood Friday' with Sam Beer & Charlotte Devon as they will be bringing you two brand new shows to Tuesday evenings!

Starting Tuesday 10th June from 7.10-9pm Sam will be bringing you his new show 'The Evening Show - Sunset Vibes'! In this new show Sam will be playing you two hours of summery tunes to soundtrack golden hour as we head into the warmest months of the year! 🌞

From 9pm on Tuesday Charlotte Devon will be bringing you a new 'Noughties at Nine' show where Char will play you an hour of the best music from the 2000's, expect to hear pop bangers and unforgettable classics!

Starting next Friday 13th June between 7.10pm-9pm will be 'Palm Torbay Party Anthems' - two hours of the best upbeat party tunes uninterrupted to start your weekend off with a bang! 🕺🪩💃

Dave Perry is joining us to bring you a new show every Saturday afternoon 12-2pm! Dave is an experienced Radio & TV Presenter as well as a Journalist and Artist, in his new show titled 'The Dave Cave' Dave will bring you an eclectic blend of hit music as well as some of Dave's unique music picks spotlighting the best of rock, indie and alternative music!

Speaking about joining us Dave says "I am a former TV presenter, working on shows for Channel 4, Sky, ITV and BBC2, and like the bad ass Pirate I am, I have recently jumped ships from another local station to join this merry band at Palm Torbay".

"My music tastes are as dark as my clothing, with artists like Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Adam Ant always on my turntable. And yeah, I am a vinyl collector too!" "A multi published writer and editor, contributing to a vast array of magazines over the years on subjects as varied as Movies and Videogames to Cars and Body Art, these days I earn a crust as the owner of Revolver Tattoo Rooms in Torquay, where I can surround myself with as much gothic doom and gloom as my blackened soul can take!!
