All Roads Lead to Rome? Turns out... they really do!🗺️🚗

Moovel Lab, a Stuttgart-based urban mobility research team, put the famous saying to the test with their project Roads to Rome. Using a grid covering 26.5 million km² of Europe and 486,713 starting points, they developed an algorithm to calculate the shortest route to Rome from each location.

The result? It's true. Cartography reveals a route map that in fact, leads to Rome. The thicker lines represent the most used routes and are the roads where the smaller routes converge.
