March 2020 Love Summer Radio is now available on Amazon Alexa, Amazon Echo, Echo DOT and all other Amazon devices with Alexa installed.
April 2020, Covid 19 saw DJs scramble to get their music out to their audiences as venues closed and outside events & festival were postponed until 2021. At Love Summer Radio we showcased West Country crews and brands with additional day time and weekend shows.
May 2020, Love Summer Radio was selected to take part in the Beta version of Mixcloud Live. New from Mixcloud offering DJs, Bands & Artists a fully licensed platform from which to simulcast their performances and mixes. We worked with their developers giving them feedback from the LIVE shows that we broadcast across Mixcloud Live & the Love Summer Radio website and Apps.

It’s been a busy couple of weeks at HQ!
2 weeks ago, our good friends Craig & Clair came to the Office and “out of the blue” put a proposal to us for the formation of a Radio Station at Love Summer Festivals. They told us about the inability of Facebook and other Social Media Providers to obtain the necessary licences from the Performance Rights Society (PRS) preventing many DJ’s and musicians from promoting their material through traditional channels, with a preference for muting or blocking their work and in some cases restricting accounts!!
So…….. We are currently in the process of obtaining Licences from PRS to deliver the best in Underground, Independent and New Entertainment to you on a 24-hour basis through a New Radio Channel, once these are in place, we will be going LIVE!!
This is an immense amount of work for Craig & Clair to undertake and the support we are receiving from the Performers and DJ’s is nothing short of phenomenal, there’s going to be some awesome stuff on here when it comes on stream!
One of the aims of Love Summer Festival from the very beginning has been to provide a Platform for Emerging & Unsigned Talent, but only running 1 weekend a year, we are always vastly oversubscribed, we are hoping the formation of Love Summer Radio will allow many more people to become involved and reach a wider audience using the platforms we have developed.
