Hello folks, I'm out of the loop these days with what's going on under the filthy paranormal rug, which in this old gits opinion, seems to be a weekly growing rats nest of vindictiveness.

I'm sad to see my friend Beardo Gets Scared on the receiving end of what I can only describe as being targeted and conspired upon by a group of paranormal channels to copyright strike him collectively in order to get his channel taken down which would result in taking away a chunk of his family's income. I'm not going to go into the details of it because you probably already know but this is one of the reasons I left the paranormal world and especially on YouTube.

I also hear that one of my favourite paranormal events "ParaMeet" which was always and hopefully still will be, a place where paranormal folk can come to without being sniped at, is also now being tainted by this jealous poison. Again, I'm not going into details.

I'm not in the paranormal world anymore and never will film for it again but I'm still here to support my honest friends still in it. Beardo is one of those friends who constantly supported my channel when it was active, we still talk and have met up a few times, he's a decent bloke and one I'd happily sit down on an evening in a pub and knock back a few golden throat charmers.

I could ramble on for ages but I won't. I'll keep supporting Beardo and my other honest friends. I hope sense prevails and he doesn't lose his channel through this injustice.

🚨 IMPORTANT MESSAGE 🚨

Good day to you all, I hope this message finds you all well. So after a lot of thinking since the Jenny Greenteeth Tale, and if I'm going into 2026 with anything at all I've made a decision.

I'm leaving the Dead Cold channel behind, I feel I need to draw a line under it and move on...

BUT....

Move on into something else though... Starting early next year I'll be making a new YouTube channel.

WHY?? When you already have one with an audience, you may think.

When I started Dead Cold Paranormal it was solely for my paranormal investigations. After being a full on believer for many years and being firstly influenced and intrigued by The Ouija Brothers and their open and honest approach to finding answers from these "Supposedly" haunted locations, I wanted to find out for myself if the paranormal was actually real and why do TV and a lot of other YouTube channels get constant activity when a small handful of channels don't. Fast forward 4 years and you quickly realise TV and a lot of YouTube channels activity is an absolute load of sh*te, so I'm pleased I stuck with my honest morals and have left with them intact and my belief in the paranormal gone... mostly.

When I started bringing folklore videos and stories into the channel I began to wonder if they fit into a channel that was created for investigations and whose audience predominantly was grown from that type of content. This is why I feel I need a clean break from it and I'll start a fresh channel dedicated to visiting locations of folklore and history for an audience that may want to watch and listen to such content. There will also be a good handful of audio only stories I'll be posting on it as well, just like the recent Jenny Greenteeth Tale.

So that's it folks, the Dead Cold YouTube channel will stay and I'll remove memberships soon, if there's any members left of course 😂 so please don't start a new membership. Eventually I'll move some of the videos and stories I created to the new channel where I feel they'll fit the folklore narrative better. I'll also be keeping this page and my Instagram but they'll just have name and banner images changed.

I'll keep you updated, if you're interested, as to when the new channel will go live early next year so until next year folks, thank you so very much for the many years of support and I wish you a happy and healthy end to 2025 and hope to see you when the new channel drops in 2026. 🖤👋

This is the very old location of Cold Christmas Church, a ruin site in North East Herefordshire at late dusk in the fog about 4 years or so ago. You couldn't get much atmospheric, for me, the place gives that vibe constantly and even more so in the dark.

It was the first place I filmed from for my Dead Cold channel, it will always be a special place, peaceful and eerie at the same time and a location with a good handful of ghostly accounts, folklore stories and history....and it maybe the first subject for something entirely new and NOT Dead Cold, coming in 2026.

The 3 counties where I live have a lot of folklore and short stories to be told.

Love this from Lorien Jones of Alehouse Haunts 🖤🍻

The intro from my short story about the history of Jamaica Inn for the Haunted Magazine earlier in the year.

Thunder cracks a short distance away then rumbles closer across the inky sky, climaxing in a boom as it passes overhead. The relentless rain pours heavily onto the sun-baked moor, spilling into deep cracks in the dry ground and puddling in places where there is no escape. The night remains humid, filled with the strong smell of petrichor as the dust saturates. The deafening downpour drowns out all other sound, what little there is besides that coming from the inn before you.

Candles burning low flicker dimly in the windows, spilling wax which pools and sets across the stone sills with no regard. People know that the inn is no desirable place to be, the company it keeps even less pleasant, and those who are passing through are hastily warned. The dark tales from within are discussed for miles around, whispered amongst the locals in hushed tones for fear of repercussions, should the wrong finger come pointing. To commit to spending your time here is a brave choice but with no option of an alternative for miles around, occasionally needs must.

Hey folks I've an important announcement to make...

The paranormal world has been very good to me and even though I'm not creating content for it anymore (I might have another announcement on that situation later this year) I still have a lot of friends within it, lovely people that will be friends for good....NOW....the announcement.

ParaMeet is an event I've been going to for a few years and I absolutely love it, egos are left at the door and everyone is just fantastic. In June 2026 there will be another brilliant weekend of spooky shenanigans and another awards ceremony for those part of GPN and the wider community.

If you’re new here, welcome. This page might be new too, but Alehouse Haunts isn’t. I, Lorien, started this venture back in 2020, exploring Britain’s haunted pubs. Kev, my partner in crime has no complaints helping me 🤣

I have lots of things being worked on behind the scenes including a book about the history of our haunted pubs, all the things they’ve been used for, their patrons etc etc.
