You get your presents at the weekend when you get back Da but for now you get a poem and a bottle of whiskey...I drunk the whiskey but the poem is below...😜😳🥃👌

We only get one father in the space of our lifeline,
Patrick Delaney is awesome and I’m lucky as he’s mine,
I’ve never been a normal lad and strayed often from the track,
But whenever I got myself in trouble he always had my back,
I’d always rebel authority and never really care,
And though I’d get in trouble, my Da was always there,
He’d punish me when naughty but never was unkind,
I learned quite early about respect, this grew inside my mind,
He made me think of others and I thank him when I can,
He broke the selfish boy in me and turned me into a man,
I love the man to pieces and always tell him so,
It makes his lovely face light up and it makes my heart glow,
I truly am repentant of the sod I used to be,
But like my Da would explain now, I was ‘just finding me’,
Well I am the man I want to be because he showed me how,
I don’t look back on the past with regret and I just live for now,
I’d talk for hours about my Da and often do reflect,
He has my love but more importantly...he has my full respect...❤
