Busgate penaty shambles - are bright red roads on the way? TWBC is considering painting the approaches to the War Memorial red to warn motorists. To me, this is ugly and unnecessary. TWBC spent a lot of money improving the visual look of that area and now wants to spend more money (around £15K) to make it look more like Croydon. 🙄

𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁
The new artwork on one of the utility boxes on Calverley Precinct has been finished. This project is a joint effort between myself, artist 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗮-𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘀 and local charity Refresh Tunbridge Wells. Thank you to 𝗥𝗧𝗪 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 for funding 50% of the cost. The artwork itself is by local artist 𝗟𝗼𝘂𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗻.

Next week TWBC will be discussing the 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝟭𝟭 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀. This is an important new policy and it's good to see the The Kent and Sussex Courier give it the coverage it deserves.
