King's College Chapel is the stunning historic centerpiece of the University of Aberdeen. Consecrated in 1509, this late-Gothic architectural masterpiece has stood for over 500 years as a symbol of Scottish history and education. 👑✨

Its famous arched stonework Imperial Crown tower is the iconic symbol of the university.

Inside, it houses the most complete medieval church interior remaining in Scotland, including beautiful wooden choir stalls that miraculously survived centuries of religious upheaval.

The Golden Sandstone: While Aberdeen is famous for granite, the chapel was built using golden Moray sandstone, transported at massive expense to allow for intricate, delicate stone carving.

Today, it serves as a peaceful war memorial, a venue for gorgeous weddings, and remains open to the public during the week.
