Your eyes do not deceive you!

This is an unpainted piece. I’ll admit I’ve got a soft spot for old pine and I really couldn’t bring myself to paint this one.

Instead I stripped the old, grimy wax off to reveal the pale, time worn timber. It’s a piece that has a lot of character with plenty of imperfections, knocks and marks from its long history.

New video alert ‼️

I was given this little stool but the existing finish was very drab and dated (not in a good way. I wanted to give it a primitive, rustic feel so Terra Clay Paint was the obvious choice. If you ever want to create a textured, layered, distressed or faux aged look then Clay Paint works a charm.

Here’s a shade I haven’t used on its own for a while!

I do love a turquoise - it’s not green, it’s not blue but it’s the best of both worlds. It’s such a happy shade too.

This is a simple one colour finish with some subtle shading using brown wax. That’s it! Sometimes simple is best 🩵

The latest Sunday roast yet! It’s been a super busy week with the kids off school but we are back to normality tomorrow.

Another commission complete!

I really don’t use this shade enough so when a custom order came through with this colour request, I knew I’d enjoy it.

The top and lower shelf were stripped and stained using No Pain Gel Stain which contrasts beautifully against the deep blue shade.

For my next commission I’ve been asked to create a look similar to this one - just with some slightly different colours and you know what that means! Lots and lots of angry comments 😆
People really do dislike it when I paint with a wooden block for some reason 🤷🏼‍♀️

Just me and my slutty paint 🤣

Im glad yesterdays roast gave you all a giggle - I definitely love the idea of having ‘paint slut’ on a t shirt 👌

I’ve been painting the porch and kitchen today…yes…in this HEATWAVE 🥵 so here’s a close up of one of the newest pieces completed. So much love for this decoupage paper - and rightly so! It’s glorious. I paired it with one of Dixie Belle’s newest paint shades called Heirloom which is delicious deep teal.

This one really made me laugh - I don’t know if the translate function made an error but ‘slutty paint’ amused me greatly 😆
