The table top removes and the base folds away for easy storage. Genius!

I painted the base in a bright teal shade and used dark wax to give dimension and depth. The top was just cleaned up to reveal that gorgeous engraved detail.

The perfect addition for a bohemian space 🩵

I usually stay away from mid century pieces.

Not because I’m scared of the mid century crowd but because it’s not my thing. All those straight lines and clean edges…give me rustic and battered any day.

HOWEVER…my neighbour was about to take this to the tip and asked if I wanted it. I heaved it down the road with his help and immediately stripped the dark varnish off that lovely teak wood. I obviously wanted to introduce some paint somewhere so I opted to paint the interior in green (obviously!).

I used a stain to enhance the woodgrain and sealed with a durable varnish.

Now looking for a new home đź‘€

Say goodbye to endless sanding dust!
My customer wanted to retain the wood grain on her dresser to contrast against the green paint work. I knew this wasn't solid wood and had to be careful not to sand through the veneer so l opted for an eco friendly stripper to remove the drab and damaged varnish.
A fresh stain and durable topcoat layer, and she's good as new!

A bit of boho

Loved creating this piece in my private group. We had a false start with some decoupage paper (reckon I had heat stroke) but we got back on track with a tasty little stamp action on the drawer front.
