Ever seen anything like this?

Neither has google images 😆 I’m meant to be working through the unpainted pieces I have in storage but this piece was so unique and only 5 mins away I nabbed it.

It’s not a desk, it’s actually a buffet and has a felt lined draw for cutlery. It is available for commission if you’d like to personalise it or I’ll be painting it at some point in October.

As much as I do appreciate a dark and moody piece, colourful pieces are my favourite to create. Anyone else get excited when you crack open a pot of colour?

It’s my favourite style of furniture to paint - layered, distressed and grungy. The best thing is it can be done in SO many colour combinations.

For this one, the main shade I used is a rather fabulous shade of avocado green with a few pops of colour underneath.

About FAFF Designs

I'm Connie the owner of FAFF Designs. I developed a love of upcycling and painting furniture a few years ago whilst on maternity leave with my son. Since then my business has grown from strength to strength. I have attended multiple workshops to learn and perfect new and advanced painting techniques as well as developing a few of my own! I only use the best products which I try and test thoroughly. I work from our home which is in Tutbury, a rural village in Staffordshire, Midlands. I have a background in Art and Design - Art was my favourite subject at school so it was a natural path to pursue this onto my A-Levels then onto Art College. I then went to Leeds University and studied Theatre Design. I have always wanted to use my creative skills for something but never really found the right thing until now: my love for art and creating mixed with my love for vintage furniture! It also makes me incredibly happy that the pieces I use are re-used and not thrown away. Most of them are just dated and drab but given a lick of paint and some FAFF treatment they're ready to adorn your home once again! I recently won the ‘Fliprunway Faux Finish Refinishing Artist of the Year sponsored by Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint’ award. These new awards aim the raise the bar on the Refinishing & Upcycling Industry and I’m thrilled to have my work recognised. As well as the pieces you see for sale, I offer a commission service. I can either paint something you already own or am happy to source something bespoke for you. I do hold some unpainted items in storage so please do get in touch if you’re after something specific. Collection is welcome from my home in Tutbury, Staffordshire or I offer a nationwide courier service.
