Comfortable win for Blackboys!
On another miserable start to the afternoon Blackboys were inserted into bat on a wet wicket. However, it was N.Rogers who started well making a quick fire 35 before being dismissed at 56-1. In form D.Griffiths made a classy 42 before also being dismissed. This Brought S.Telford to the crease to join J.Marchant looking to push the score on, with S.Telford hitting 3 monstrous sixes in consecutive balls. Blackboys eventually finished on 237-4 with J.Marchant ending on a well made 62*
In reply Mayfield got off to the worst possible start with a mix up in the first over and their opener run out. With C.Morton swinging it both ways there wasn’t much the batsmen could do with him leaving them 15-4. Supported by J.Britton who gave nothing away and also claimed 2 to his name. With the game well and truly out of reach it was left to T.Telford and C.Eade to finish the game off for Blackboys bowling the away side out for 80.
