BOOK LAUNCH "HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE MIND" IN SWEDISH
After four years of work Tharpa Sweden was finally able to publish How to Understand the Mind by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso in Swedish. This is the fifth book of Venerable Geshe-la's to be published in Swedish and we celebrated this milestone with a book launch where everyone received their own copy of the book.

✨ “To someone who has subdued his or her mind and eradicated anger, everyone is a friend. A Bodhisattva, whose sole concern is for the welfare of others, has no enemies.

✨ “Very few people wish to harm someone who is a friend of the entire world; and even if someone did harm or abuse such a high-minded being, the Bodhisattva would remain at peace.

✨ “With his or her mind dwelling in patience he would remain calm and untroubled, able to smile at his assailant and even treat him with respect. Such is the power of a well-controlled mind.

✨ “Therefore, if we sincerely wish to be rid of all our enemies the wisest course of action is to uproot and destroy our own anger.”

💙 “Due to the limitations of their body and mind, those who have taken rebirth as animals, for example, have no opportunity to understand or practise the path to liberation.

💙 “Only humans are free from such hindrances and have all the necessary conditions, known as ‘endowments’, to engage in spiritual paths, which alone lead to everlasting happiness.
