Most people know only three states of consciousness: waking, dreaming, and deep sleep.

The Mandukya Upanishad describes a fourth—Turiya—the silent awareness that exists before every thought, during every experience, and after every experience.

This isn’t mythology.
It isn’t blind belief.
It is one of the oldest and most profound models of consciousness ever recorded.

If you understand these four states, you stop identifying with every emotion, every thought, and every temporary experience. You begin to recognize the awareness that has been present your entire life.

In this carousel you’ll discover:
• Jagrat (The Waking State)
• Svapna (The Dream State)
• Sushupti (Deep Sleep)
• Turiya (Pure Awareness)

These teachings from the Mandukya Upanishad, explored by the sages of Advaita Vedanta, continue to inspire seekers, neuroscientists, meditation practitioners, yoga teachers, and students of consciousness around the world.

Read every slide slowly.
Save it for future reflection.
Share it with someone exploring meditation, self-inquiry, yoga, spirituality, or the nature of consciousness.

Most people think attachment means love.

But a lot of the time, attachment is actually fear.

Fear of being abandoned.
Fear of not being chosen.
Fear of losing someone and then feeling empty inside.

That’s why even small changes in someone’s behaviour can disturb your peace so deeply.

The Bhagavad Gita never taught detachment as becoming cold or emotionless.

Krishna did not ask Arjuna to run away from life.
He asked him to stay fully involved… without becoming internally dependent on outcomes.

That changes everything.

Real detachment is not:
“I don’t care.”

Real detachment is:
“I care deeply, but I no longer lose myself in the process.”

To love without control.
To care without fear.
To stay connected without abandoning your own inner peace.

Maybe that is why people suffer so much today.

Because they are trying to find themselves through other people.

Read that again slowly.

Most people spend their entire lives trying to control the mind.

Control thoughts.
Force positivity.
Escape emotions.
Silence pain.

But that is not what Vigyan Bhairav Ta**ra teaches.

Thousands of years ago, Shiva gave 112 meditation techniques — not to suppress the human experience, but to use it as a doorway into awareness.

Breath.
Fear.
Desire.
Sound.
Loneliness.
Silence.
Even suffering.

Everything can become a path to consciousness when observed deeply.

The modern world has made people overstimulated, emotionally exhausted, addicted to distraction, and disconnected from themselves.

And yet people still search for peace outside.

Vigyan Bhairav Ta**ra says:
peace is not created.
It is revealed when awareness becomes deeper than mental noise.

This is not blind belief.
This is direct inner observation.

And that changes everything.

Which line hit you the hardest?

I didn’t come here to meditate.
I just stopped interfering.

At first, the body resisted.
Subtle tension.
A need to check something.
To do something.

That’s when it became clear -
most of us aren’t restless because of thoughts,
but because awareness never gets to complete itself.

Ancient practices were never about fixing the mind.
They were about staying long enough
for attention to settle on its own.

When that happens, the breath softens.
The eyes relax.
The system stops scanning for threats.

The smile that comes next isn’t emotional.
It’s physiological.

Nothing changes on the outside.
But inside, effort dissolves.

Most people keep seeking silence
while secretly fearing what will surface
if they actually stay.

If this makes sense without explanation,
you already know what I’m pointing toward.

Stay close.
