Just back from a weekend at the Blackpool International Soul Festival and, due to issues with accessibility for my wife, and some sound issues, this will probably be our last weekend up here.
It's a shame that my post was deleted from the page I also got kicked off the page on my personal profile, let me just say, I have the utmost respect for and the team, but things weren't right and they need to change, and deleting posts and hiding feedback that you don't agree with is not the way forward.
I wish the festival all the best for the future, I hope feedback is listened to but, as I have been booted off the page, it's hard to keep an eye on and know whether we should return or not.

The weekend is here again!

Quick question........do you remember the good old days of radio when every local station had its mainstream content then, after the work day was done, there were the 'specialist shows'......... well, still brings you this format and, as well as on a Friday evening, and a variety of great shows across Saturday and the rest of the weekday evenings, every Sunday from 7pm until 10pm, Jason Gray brings you 50 Shades of Soul, playing funk, r&b, jazz, reggae and all genres of soul from the 60's to the latest releases followed by Paul Gray with Soul Stew from 10pm until midnight. Sunday nights are soul nights on Horizon Radio, join us on FM, on DAB or at horizonradio.com from 7pm on a Sunday.

Just as a heads up, I'm away next week (20th) and will be enjoying the vibes at Blackpool International Soul Festival and, as a result, will be playing a special Northern Soul hour between 8 and 9pm.

If Northern Soul is your thing, don't forget Northern Soul Live with at on the 19th.

Started the weekend on Friday evening with a trip to and, yes, the original recipe is back and we loved every mouthful! Will definitely be back........... apparently house music royalty, ate here a month or two back while in the UK....... Marshall, you need to come back. It's even better now :-)

Followed up with a trip to to see Backrooms.......... a little conflicted by the ending but, if you like your films a little on the weird side, this might be for you!

Going to finish the weekend, as usual, on and on DAB, FM and online around the world at horizonradio.com with the sounds of soul from the 60s to today.

At this rate, we're starting to think Megan Sim has her own parking space at Horizon Radio Milton Keynes! 😂🎙️

Yes, Manager Megan is back on the airwaves again at around 11:15am this morning with Simon Tuck. It's becoming such a regular occurrence we're expecting her to start asking for a presenter’s chair soon! 📻⭐

This time she'll be sharing an exciting festival announcement and giving a very special shout-out.

Happy Bank Holiday weekend all. My soundtrack for the weekend dropped through the letterbox this week in the shape of the new album from from the

I am a long time fan of Brian Jackson as well as Gill Scott Heron and this album will sit alongside a lot of 1970's originals.

Expect to hear a track or two on 50 Shades of Soul this week on from 7pm on Sunday evening.
