Something a little different for your ears this week: a selection of records in tribute to the genius songwriting of Burt Bacharach (who passed away last week) and Hal David.. They're not all about the "easy listening"! The classically trained Bacharach worked hard to make his arrangements interesting and in turn his songs appealed to interesting arrangers. It's no coincidence that Isaac Hayes covered lots of his songs. As well as one by Ike, this mix includes versions by Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Mahalia Jackson, Reuben Wilson and more! 💜➡️👂
