FLASHBACK FRIDAY

Kirkconnel Parish Heritage Society, KKS News and Kirkconnel Community Transport would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We would like to thank the communities of Upper Nithsdale for their continued support over the past year, it really does mean a lot to us.

The Heritage office will close on Tuesday 23rd December at 11am and reopen on Wednesday 7th January at 9am.

We have a very limited stock of 2026 calendars still available in the office, if you would like to reserve one please drop us a message.

We also have some very interesting books for sale and other wee items which make ideal stocking fillers - perfect for that last minute Christmas gift!

Starting tomorrow, we have a wee festive fundraiser happening in the office. We are selling scratch cards at £2.00 a go - if you're lucky enough you'll win one of our amazing prizes! Pop in for a wee shot and help keep the Heritage going while you're at it.

Thank you to all who came out on such a miserable day for the opening of the new Kirkland footpath.

Thanks again to Mr & Mrs Hodge, JMC Contracts & Supplies and the Upper Nithsdale Community Trust - without you all this wouldn’t have been possible.

A special thanks to the pupils of the Personal Development class at Sanquhar Academy who have also helped with the project.
