Helpful Christmas info.

Recycling, waste and garden collections will change for two weeks over Christmas and New Year.

Scheduled collections on Christmas Day (Thursday, December 25) will be taken on Saturday, December 27.

Collections timetabled for Boxing Day (Friday, December 26) will be collected on Sunday, December 28.

Waste scheduled to be collected on New Years Day (Thursday, January 1) will be taken on Friday, January 2, and scheduled collections on Friday, January 2 will move back one day to Saturday, January 3.

📦📦 VINTED UPDATE 📦📦

We are aware of the new update on Vinted in regards to Royal Mail Parcels.

From what we understand if your parcel is going to a fellow Parcel Drop off shop then you can use the digital label like normal.

If you are sending a parcel to somebody’s house you will have to print the Royal Mail label yourself. (We understand this will cause an issue as not everyone has a printer but unfortunately this is Vinted’s new update and we can only follow what they have done) WE CANNOT PRINT THESE LABELS IN STORE

Sandown Fun Day in Sandown high Street today 🌲🌲🤶

The High Street is closed all day meaning they is no parking outside the shop, However we are OPEN as usual for all your everyday things.

A reminder today’s sun has the free Christmas TV magazine inside today so don’t miss the opportunity to purchase. 📰📰

Parcels are available to do as Normal and couriers have promised to deliver and pick up from us as normal despite the road closures in place 📦📦

A great event for the town.

Let’s make sure we give the support it deserves

Hello All,
Hopefully some good news! The Committee have decided to resurrect the Sandown Sprint in 2026 on the weekend of 19/20 September. This event will be totally organised by the Isle of Wight Car Club both on and off track. As you will be aware the 3 previous events had a promoter who organised and funded the track build and everything off track including ticket sales. In line with our thoughts of making this a community event for the Isle of Wight and in particular Sandown, along with encouraging visitors from the mainland, SPECTATOR ENTRY WILL BE FREE which should encourage more people to attend and bring business to the town.

Talks have already been had with businesses adjacent to the track which has given us high hopes that we can make a success of it. We have some funding promised by a friend of the Club who wishes to remain anonymous but we will need further sponsorship and support from local businesses and organisations to make it happen.

If any of you think you can assist with the organisation please let me or one of the Committee know.
