Playing the best in Heavy Metal and Rock from the heart of West Yorkshire!
The Metal Ashes show aims to provide the listener with music they want to hear, be it from established arena bands or from new and unsigned artists wanting the world to hear what they do.
Originally hosted on Phoenix FM in Halifax by Pete and Marcus, they were later joined by James to add an extra string to their guitar, (so to speak). Pete left the show due to moving away from the area leaving Marcus and James to carry the torch for rock and metal, before Marcus also did the same for employment reasons. For the past three years James has held the fort and repelled the forces of sampled music to keep the flag flying in the name of all things guitar-orientated and in 2018 the Metal Ashes radio show was syndicated on Metal Meyhem Radio online and on DAB+ in the Portsmouth area. 2019 will see a change as the radio show will no longer air on Phoenix FM and will be concentrated only on Metal Meyhem Radio. Metal Meyhem Radio is now on DAB+ in the Brighton area.
