There are 7 days left to give your views in the consultation.

New parking restrictions are being proposed for West Norwood. This means residents, businesses and visitors will need permits to park on the public highway during the hours the Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) is live.

You should already have been sent a pack with a unique URN number to access a survey if you live within the shaded zone.

On the survey there is a free text box where you can write your own comments. A 10am to 12 noon CPZ would help protect the vital lunchtime trade in the town centre. As your ward Councillors we would encourage you to respond to the consultation requesting these hours.

The council also wants to know if you want cycle hangars, more trees, electric parking chargers etc. on your street.
You have until the 25th of May to respond.

If you want to add to your submission, haven't received your pack in the post, or feel you would be affected but live outside the zone please email [email protected] outlining your issue.

CPZ consultation

Check out the proposed West Norwood town centre CPZ (controlled parking zone) in West Norwood Library SE27 9JU. The paper map shows each house and the proposed parking bays and yellow lines.

Deadline is May 25th for this phase of the consultation.

Use "other" boxes on the survey to make suggestions. A two hour zone 10am to 12noon would give more flexibility for visitors and shopping whilst reducing commuter parking and abandoned vehicles that take up parking spaces.

Thames Water leaks

**** UPDATE
A new water main burst was discovered on Thursday at the works outside LlDL- so lane closures and Streatham bound bus diversions will continue till end of Sunday 23rd Feb ****

Water leaks on Crown Lane SE19 3HD, by Lidl, are due to be repaired by Wednesday 19th Feb. The westbound lane is closed to traffic, so 417 and 249 Streatham buses are diverted through West Norwood.

Thames Water leaks caused low water pressure or water shortages from Tuesday 11th Feb to Sunday 15th Feb in neighbourhoods across south London.

These leaks are a good opportunity to remind vulnerable friends & family that, by joining the Priority Services Register, they can get information & practical help when there are emergency stoppages of gas, electricity or water: https://www.thepsr.co.uk/
