Our in-house DPF cleaning machine has been working hard today.
5 cleaned in total so far!

Here is an example of what no other cleaning process can do. Thats to remove the ash left behind from regeneration that builds up on higher mileage vehicles.

This process back-flushes the DPF to remove soot and ash deposits back out the same way they came in. This deep cleans the entire filter from what has settled in the lower sections.

Friday and it all goes wrong, snapped glow plug in a V6 Mercedes. 🤦🏻 out with the specialist tools, removal of the snapped glow plug with out the removal of the engine or cylinder head or waiting days for a specialist engineer.

Ford Ranger 2.0 Ecoblue Timing Belt completed today.

Caught just in time too! The timing belt was well on its way to destruction as can be seen with the amount of rubber particles inside the sump and inside the oil pick up pipe.

Full kit installed including timing belt and tensioner, oil pump drive belt, new sump and timing cover etc. All genuine Ford parts used.

2020 model with only 51K miles covered.

Transit Custom Autowatch Ghost Install

This local building company was fed up with vehicle theft. Having recently had his Transit tipper stolen, making this the 4th in 10 years of trading, he decided to protect all his vehicles permanently.

🚨 Ford 1.0 Ecoboost Wet Belt 🚨

A recent breakdown caused by the usual wetbelt failure. The belt starts to break up and the rubber fibres block the oil strainer causing low engine oil pressure and usually the oil light on the dash.

Luckily for this customer it was caught just in time. With a new Timing belt, Oil pump drive belt, Oil pump and Vacuum pump it has survived to fight another day.

Ford specify the belt should be replaced every 10 years or 150,000 miles (whichever is sooner)
This one didnt make it to either of those.

If you have one that is getting close to replacement then you should consider replacing it early to avoid this and any consequential damage! This is a regular job for us with this kind of failure.

Transit 2.0 Ecoblue Siezed Injector Removal

This transit was recovered to us with a missfire. As suspected turned out to be an injector at fault. After a quick electrical inspection with the mega meter only one of the four was within tolerance. We advised to replace all 4.

On inspection it was clear to see there was a lot of corrosion around the top of the engine. Bolts holding the breather box had rotted away to nothing and snapped off.

Stage one vibration removal was a complete failure.
Stage two Hydraulic puller was successful at removing 3 of them.
The final one snapped in half leaving the nozzle and cap nut siezed in place.

We were able to use our extraction techniques and specialist tooling to successfully remove all parts of this broken injector. See photos of the several pieces.

After a full clean up of all the corrosion and seats recut we were able to install a full set of new Ford OE Injectors and get this transit back to running at its best!
