Mallorca, on your 53rd birthday your FamiLee proudly announce your charity - Mallorca Lee Love Music SCIO.

53 years ago at 5.50pm, Mallorca Lee was born. Today the charity inspired by our amazing husband, father, brother, son, friend, musician, artist and man is born to help make sure he has the legacy he deserves.
When Mallorca was diagnosed he told us that when he recovered he didn’t want to waste any time. He wanted to help music-loving young people have the opportunities he made for himself, the ones he worked so hard for.
Unfortunately he isn’t here to do it – but we are and we want to honour his wishes. I will run the charit, protect and build my husband’s legacy with the help of our children Angel and Oceano.
We are going to do what Mallorca always dreamed of - Mallorca Lee Love Music has been officially approved as a charity. This charity aims to help musically passionate young people achieve their dreams with the right resources and encouragement, and help kids learn to express themselves through music just like Mallorca did.
The next 1994 event will be totally dedicated to raise funds for Mallorca Lee Love Music - every penny we make will go towards his charity.
Together with Mallorca’s friends we want to make a difference for the new generations and share Mallorca’s legacy and love with them all.
1994 will return with “FOREVER YOUNG” on the 6th of Dec at the Classic Grand and for the first time we will be presenting Interactive, coming all the way from Germany to play live for you. For Mallorca.
But even more special for us – Trevor Reilly has agreed to come out of retirement for one night only, to help launch his old friend’s charity. Thank you Trevor.
Mallorca’s and now our good friend X-Ray will fly in specially to play for us, bringing to this special event the sound of the Irish club Mallorca loved so much, Kelly’s.
Of course Mallorca’s old pals, his brothers, David Forbes and Mark Sherry have to play – and they will.
Ross Ferguson will perform, he has to. He and Mallorca created something truly beautiful and this has continued, with Ross turning Mall’s last message into music.
And the voice of Obsession Heather Finnie will of course be there to perform for Mallorca - with UltraSonic featuring our son Oceano Lee. The torch has been passed.
And the OG resident team he put together for 1994 will be at the heart of it as always - Joe Deacon, Malcolm X and MC Cyclone.
Thank you to all our performers for helping with such a special night.
We hope you all want to be a part of this charity and help us spread love and opportunities just like Mallorca wanted. I really have a feeling it’s going to be something special.

Eventually I have now managed to get round to converting the audio from a phone interview i done on tomdj radio with our good friend Mallorca Lee in 2011. All through the years of us knowing each other anytime i asked him to come on my show he never once said no .
This interview was when Mal had just been voted scotlands number 1 dj and had just wrote the absolute amazing song Together dedicated to his wife Maria.

This will be available to listen to on my you tube page in the next few days.
