HAPPY 14TH BIRTHDAY TO THE PROG MILL!

It was on Sunday 11 December 2011 that the very first edition of THE PROG MILL was broadcast on the opening day of STAFFORD RADIO. An online community radio station broadcasting from a 220 year old windmill in Stafford. The station later changed it's name to WINDMILL RADIO, and when that station closed in 2016 The Prog Mill moved to PROGZILLA RADIO.

717 shows in (220 for Stafford/Windmill Radio and 497 for Progzilla), the show is still going strong thanks to our wonderful listeners and the bands/artists who produce this amazing music. Long may it continue!

One week in and thank you to everyone who has voted so far... Just over two weeks left to vote:

THE PROG MILL LISTENERS ALBUM OF THE YEAR 2025 – VOTING IS NOW OPEN!

We invite you to nominate your top five progressive rock albums of the year (with No. 1 being your favourite down to No. 5). We then award your number one 5pts, your No. 2 4pts etc etc... Then once voting has closed all the votes are added up and I can then compile a top 25 list.

Voting closes at midnight UK on Tuesday 23rd December, and the results show will be on The Prog Mill on Progzilla Radio at 10pm UK on Sunday 28th December.

A few basic rules (same as before!)

Albums should be original progressive rock studio albums released in 2025 (not remastered/re-releases/covers etc, and please include 5 albums in your vote (not just your favourite)

Please don't vote for yourself if you're an artist/band

Please don't canvass your followers to vote for you on facebook etc. We try to make this poll a fair reflection of the views of listeners to the Prog Mill radio show.

Email your vote to me at [email protected] Many thanks in advance and we'll see who succeeds Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks with True as the Prog Mill listeners album of the year.
