Tom has just been released by Shrewsbury, and he is nearing towards the end of his career, meaning he could be a cheap pick-up for Town.

The veteran would massively improve the spine of this Swindon side, with his experience, strength and leadership, Flanagan would prove to be a vital asset to The Robins.

The experienced defender has played over 350 games in his career, scoring 14 times with 8 assists too, he has played for the likes of MK Dons, Gillingham, Barnet, Stevenage, Sunderland, Burton and more.

He has over 220 League One games and 57 Championship games under his belt, and has reached the League One Play-Offs on 3 separate occasions, showing that he knows what it takes to gain promotion, which should be Swindon's main target for the 24/25 season.

- 𝗧𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗘 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗞𝗘𝗥? -

It has been reported by EFL_hub on X that Swindon Town have agreed terms to sign Cambridge United striker Fejiri Okenabirhie on a permanent deal.

The 28-year old has scored 5 goals and assisted a further 2 in 21 appearances this season, however he has only played 887 minutes, which is equivalent to 10 full games, so not as bad as it may seem as first.

The player jumped up 2 leagues from the National League to League One side Shrewsbury, following a decent season for Dagenham and Redbridge.

Following his stint at Shrewsbury in which he got 27G/A over 2 seasons for the Shrews, he joined Doncaster Rovers who went on to get relegated the following season, whilst the striker managed to net 11 goals and grab 4 assists in 39 games for a side that failed to survive the drop.

Okenabirhie has since been at Cambridge, but was recently released, meaning he wouldn't cost Swindon too much for his services.

Last night it was reported by EFL Hub on X that Swindon Town are in advanced talks to sign Ryan Delaney.

The 27 year old has had quite an impressive career, winning a fair amount of silverware during his time. The defender has made over 100 League One appearances, and almost 70 League Two appearances, showing that he has plenty of experience.

Standing at 6'4, Delaney would certainly add some much needed strength and defensive abilities to a Swindon side which lacked so dearly in that department last season.

Swindon Town have confirmed the signing of Ex-Newcastle defender, Rosaire Longelo!

The 24-year old began his youth career with West Ham and then Newcastle United, before he made a permanent switch to Accrington Stanley in 2021.

In his three seasons with Accrington, the 24 year old made 46 appearances in League One, and then made 22 appearances in League Two, scoring 6 goals and assisting a further 5.

After putting pen to paper, Rosaire said: "Swindon's always been a big club, so when they came calling it was impossible and hard to say no to a club like Swindon."

"I'm delighted and so happy to join the club and honestly I can't wait to get started."

According to Ryan Whelan, Swindon are set to announce 2 more signings by the end of the week.

It is currently unclear as to whom these players may be, and Swindon are known for missing deadlines, so the deals may not be announced until after the week.

The 2 deals in question were being finalised late last week, and would be something to cheer up the fans following the news that Dan Kemp has turned The Robins down.

Earlier this afternoon it was revealed that Dan Kemp has signed for League One side Stevenage.

It was also revealed that Swindon Town had been in talks with their star man over a potential return to SN1, and despite a significant offer from The Robins, Kemp opted to step up a league.

An unfortunate piece of news, but also unsurprising.

Good luck, Dan Kemp!

According to Ryan Whelan, Swindon Town have approached former star Jack Payne over a potential return to the County Ground.

The midfielder had a very successful stint with The Robins, making a total of 88 appearances for the club before joining Charlton Athletic on a free after The Reds missed out on promotion from League Two.

Payne recently helped guide MK Dons into the Play-Offs, but crashed out to eventual winners Crawley Town.

This would certainly be a statement signing for The Robins.

Earlier today, Swindon Town confirmed that Sean McGurk has signed a new deal which will see him stay at the club.

McGurk joined The Robins on deadline day in the Winter Transfer Window, and made an instant impact, scoring 2 goals in his first couple of games for the club.

The young talent has massively impressed since his deadline-day arrival, and is a signing that will please many Town fans.

McGregor had an outstanding campaign last year, being a key part of the Academy side which made it to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup before making 5 League Two appearances at the end of the season.

The 18-year-old has been part of The Robins since the under-12s, and will be looking towards the first steps in his professional career with Swindon's new head coach Mark Kennedy.

Following the signature of his first professional contract, Joel said: "It's a dream come true to be able to call myself a professional footballer and honestly I couldn't be happier."

"It's been an incredible season with my teammates, from our progression into the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup to our unbeaten run in the league and my league debut against Sutton, start against Walsall, and home debut against Morecambe."

"I can't wait for next season and ultimately to get back out playing football in front of the fans and I want to say a massive thank you to everybody who has supported me on the journey so far."

Joel made three appearances alongside fellow academy player Harley Hunt, of which both impressed massively.

If there is one man Swindon should look for to replace Hepburn-Murphy's raw pace and impact off the bench, it should be none other than Abo Eisa.

The 28yr old has pace, experience, the ability to score and assist and he is able to drive at players with his speed and skills. This season in a poor Grimsby side, Eisa has managed to score 9 goals and assist a further 4 in 32 games, and he has only started just over half of those.

Eisa would be available to Swindon on a free, meaning he'd cost little to nothing for The Robins to sign. I think The Winger would be a great addition to the Town squad, and would offer something different to what we currently have.

He has shown that he can make a great impact off the bench, and these are the type of players that you'd want in your squad to be giving competition to the first-teamers, and possibly even start games too when needed.

- 𝗞𝗘𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗗𝗬 𝗪𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘 -

The Newly appointed Swindon Head-Coach has made it clear in recent interviews that he is keen on making a great change at SN1.

In the past 2 seasons, Swindon have made 3 signings of players aged over 26, with the club opting to go for younger, less-experienced players which hasn't gone all too well.

Kennedy has identified his ambitions to sign players of all ages, insisting that no matter the age, you can still develop. Saying, “It is heavily geared around the younger players that only they can develop, but I think whether you are 19 or 20 or 30 or 31 you are always learning and there is always room for improvement."

“That is something I pride myself on, it is developing players on a continual basis, it just so happened that the last club I was at had a model of 23 and under and it was quite successful."

“But the flip side of that is you are only ever shopping in one shop, whereas when you start looking outside and you can buy 25- or 26-year-olds, I would rather have the pick of everyone."

Kennedy and The Robins have already proved their intent, with the incoming of experienced midfielder Ollie Clarke the other day.

Mansfield Town have just announced the signing of Ex-Swindon man, Frazer Blake-Tracy.

Blake-Tracy had a great spell in his first season for The Robins in which he originally joined on loan from Burton, before making a permanent switch to SN1. Blake-Tracy was one of the many released players following Town's lowest ever finish this season.

A great player on his day, and a very well rounded defender, good luck with The Frazer!

Swindon Town are said to be interested in Australian youngster Raphael Rodrigues.

If they are to do this, The Robins will need to battle of competition from the likes of Coventry and Rangers, two clubs who are in a much better situation than Swindon Town.

The winger was born in the Netherlands before moving Down Under when he was young. Raphael joined Melbourne City's academy in 2017, but only made a few appearances for the first team.

Last summer, the 20 year old joined MacArthur FC, and has proven his quality since joining the side, and has gone on to score 6 and assist a further 2 in 34 matches for the club.

Swindon's owner Clem Morfuni is hoping to use his Australian links to capture the signing of the young talent and show what he can do at SN1.
