🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Huge congratulations to Blake Ripley from our Under 16’s, who represented Scotland Under 16’s yesterday scoring FOUR tried and SIX goals.

🏉 He impressed so much he’s been called into the Scotland Under 17’s squad going forward.

🚨 Bit of a rant… 🚨

We’ve had some sand/soil delivered recently to repair and maintain the playing field. Some local kids have been using it to jump bikes over — we’ve not had a big issue with that, as long as they’re respectful of our neighbours and don’t cause any bother.

BUT… today we’ve had to go down because holes are being dug into the fields.

👉 If they’re your kids, please have a word.
👉 If they’re your shovels, I’ve got them so please make contact to collect them.

As a club we don’t have spare funds to be paying out for extra repairs because a few people can’t find a better way to occupy themselves.

Julie has been recognised with the RFL Women’s & Girls Champion Award 🏆 – a well-deserved honour for all the passion, time and energy she puts into growing the girls’ game here at Shaw Cross.

The award was proudly presented by Darby Sladdin from the RFL. 👏👏

TEAM NEWS !!!!

Matt Bramald (sponsored in memory of Chris Moran) has named his side to face incerosebridgeclub in the play off semi final.

🗞️ The Sharks side is a strong one with nearly a full team of Shaw Cross juniors again.

🏉 Today’s side sees Frenchy and Nathan Wright back in the team to bring the average age up.
After a very strong performance from Fridge (Connor Foster) last week he has deserved a place in the starting lineup.

The regular season is over and Shaw Cross have finished 6th in the NCL Division 1.

That means we are in the play offs semi final against incerosebridgeclub.

The boys will be hoping to put in a strong performance against a tough opposition.

Not the result we wanted going down 24-14 away at Kells ARLFC.

Another solid effort from the young Sharks who’s oldest player was Harrison Sutcliffe at 24 with a number of under 18’s stepping up, including Jude Toulson who got over for 2 first half tries.

It is however, fancy dress day! Today’s theme is dead celebrities.

TEAM NEWS !!!!

Matt Bramald (sponsored in memory of Chris Moran) has named his side to face Kells ARLFC

🗞️ The Sharks side is a strong one with nearly a full team of Shaw Cross juniors.
The side sees Jack Toulson come back from injury and Harry Wharton keeps his place in the team after some strong performances.
