When 𝗘 𝗟 𝗘 𝗠 𝗘 𝗡 𝗧 𝗙 𝗜 𝗟 𝗠 𝗦 asked me to get involved on his documentary project and sent over a filthy mood board for a Dartmoor shoot, I was keen.

Gaz was looking for Dartmoor at its ‘worst’, to create a dramatic opening for the doc. We were keeping a close eye on the forecast and there was potential for fog and rain. Shoot day soon rolled round and oh did it a deliver. A classic Dartmoor baptism of water 🌧️ 💨 ! Proper job

It’s been amazing being involved in the project, not just because these are exactly the kind of images I love to make, but the project itself is a very special one.

‘Unbreakable’ tells the extraordinary true story of Mark Ormrod MBE, a former Royal Marine who survived a devastating IED explosion in Afghanistan, losing both legs and his right arm on Christmas Eve 2007.

Mark’s journey is one of resilience, courage and an unrelenting determination. But it’s more than a story about surviving a life changing injury. It’s an exploration of what it means to rebuild your identity, overcome the impossible and find purpose after everything changes.

Gaz has put his life and soul into the project, and what a job he’s doing, single handedly producing the film and organising contributions from the likes of Jason Fox , 𝐄𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 - 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭™️ , Anthony ‘Staz’ Stazicker CGC and Louis Tinsley from ThruDark® and so much more. What an epic project man, be proud.

With no financial backing the production is also financed privately and these things cost money. Gaz has a go fund me page in his bio, for anyone who might be willing and able to contribute pennies to telling amazing story. Without it, it simply wouldn’t be being told.

A massive thanks to Gaz for involving me, it’s a real privilege, and thanks to Mark not only for being so patient with us in that hoofing weather, but for everything that you’ve sacrificed for us here at home. A true living legend in every sense of the word.

The entire doc is being filmed on LUMIX Official Instagram cameras. These images were all shot on the S1II and Gaz was shooting on the pocket rocket GH7.

Are we to blame for the monsters we made? 🎥

A lot of work went into the visuals of this video. Shots on location, clean plates, green screen, and compositing of AI elements into real footage. A new hybrid approach to music video production. I may do some BTS at some point to show the workflows used!
