Me 10 years ago: frantically learning iMovie

Me today: Producing videos for legends like and her brilliant company AI for non techies!

When I first started in podcasts I was an audio guy through and through.

I'd never produced a video in my life....

But the industry was changing, and I had to learn fast on the free software I had access to, as I had no budget.

Fast forward to now and many, many long nights of figuring video out - yes I still produce audio, but video has become what I am know for.

And I love the creativity of it.

Now we produce more than just podcasts.

Heather has built something frankly incredible in AI for Non-Techies, and over our time working together we have produced -

🎙️ Social content
🎙️ Masterclasses

And next?

We're taking on YouTube together, and her and her team are going to smash it.

AI content that will be educational, experimental, filled with behind the scenes goodness and more as they continue to build something special and recognise both YouTube and video are key.

We'll be producing & strategising everything with them.

I could not have imaged this 10 years ago.

Hard work, determination & free software can take you far!

The Bengal Tiger

Pretty much the most beautiful animal on Earth, also one of my Grandad's favourites.

His dream was to see elephants and tigers in the wild, a dream that never came to be.

Bengal tigers live in The Sundarbans in Bangladesh, and this month in dedication to all the podcast episodes, season trailers, masterclass videos, and audiobook chapters we have produced, 24 more mangrove trees will be planted for them to roam through.

These ones are for you Daddad!

Just confirming:

My aid budget hasn't been slashed

I'm still in the business of helping the world, the people in it, as well as producing brilliant podcasts.

I'm doing this in my small way of planting trees around the world through projects that help local communities to earn money, restore their land and have a positive impact on our climate.

So how did last month go?

Honestly, I didn't sell any big packages.

No new seasons of shows being renewed.

A new stand alone test episode & recording session with a global clinical research company has been booked in.

Apart from that I only have happy returning clients, some I've worked with for years.

As well as producing their ongoing episodes, I worked on updating 2 shows with new sponsors, launched season 2 of a show, and set up a podcast landing page & YouTube channel for a show getting ready for the big launch. (Excited to share more soon!)

All of which meant 39 trees were planted for podcast episodes in February.

Would it have been nice to sell a high ticket offer?

Of course

But having a pipeline that doesn't depend on it is just as important.

That's why I have always had a mix of both.

In 8 years I have produced around 4000 episodes

In November 2022 I started planting trees for every podcast episode I produce. The podcast plantation now totals 1101 trees 🌳
