⚠️ UPDATE: COASTAL FLOODING - Wednesday 5 November ⚠️
The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for coastal areas on the Isle of Wight.

🌊 High tides on Wednesday 5 November may lead to flooding for1 hour either side of Wednesday evening’s tide at 10:30pm.
📏 The weather increases tide table values by 0.27 m. Total forecast tide is 4.67 metres) at Cowes.
❗ Light South Easterly Force 4 wind. Very minor impact flooding will affect some sea front roads, esplanades and car parks across the Island. Water will be high up slipways in Cowes, affecting Medina Road and the floating bridge. In East Cowes, sea water forced up through drains may cause very minor impacts to the road at Albany Road.
🌊 Thursday’s tide at 10:45am on Thursday 6 November 2025 is forecast to be 10 cm higher.
❗Please avoid parking, walking or driving at exposed sea front locations especially during the stated high-tide times

🔴 Consider activating any flood protection plans or products you may have.
🔵 Island Roads will have the sandbag stores in Cowes, East Cowes and Ryde accessible to residents:
✅ Well Road, East Cowes
✅ Simeon Street Recreation Ground, Ryde
✅ St Mary's Car Park, Cowes

The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for coastal areas on the Isle of Wight.

🌊High tides on Tuesday (tonight) may lead to flooding.

🕙Flooding is possible for 1 hour either side of this evening’s tide at 9:47pm on (Tuesday 4 November)

📏 The weather increases tide table values by 0.34m. Total forecast tide is 4.63 metres

❗Very minor impact flooding will affect some seafront roads, esplanades and car parks across the Island. Water will be high up slipways in Cowes, affecting Medina Road and the floating bridge. In East Cowes, seawater forced up through drains may cause minor impacts to the road at Albany Road.

🌊 Wednesday’s tide at 10:02am (5 November) is forecast to be 50cm higher. No significant rainfall is forecast. Flood impacts are predicted until Saturday 8 November 2025.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday 9th November

2pm at St Catherine’s Church, followed by laying of wreaths at 3pm at the Ventnor War Memorial, Park Avenue.

The commemorative service is organised by Ventnor Town Council is association with the Royal British Legion.
