We installed fillable water jackets around the recently planted trees at the Community Orchard on Steephill Down Road. These jackets are essential to the trees to make sure that they are thrive through this hot, dry weather.

Unfortunately, one of the jackets has disappeared only a few days after installation. It is completely unacceptable to steal items from a community asset, and costs the local ratepayer.

If you happen to find the jacket 'misplaced' then please drop it back to our offices: 1 Salisbury Gardens, Dudley Road, Ventnor, PO38 1EJ.

Emails sent to old accounts with the old .org.uk ending will continue to be delivered for the moment, but we advise you to check that you're using the new email addresses going forward.

Ventnor Park was included in the "Your Loo Could Save You" project, by being home to a flowered toilet near the Bandstand for 24 hours, which helped to generate publicity for the campaign.
