Join us this morning on Agate Radio 95.5 FM today Thursday for a phone-in program on our Project Shine Right: Champions for a Virtuous Future, as we discuss how children are prone to social vices and what we can do as parents, teachers and adults to rescue them from being involved in social vices.

Discussion today will look at Early warning signs that shows that a child is prone to social vices, some of the reasons why children get involved in social vices and consequences of child neglect.

Project Shine Right
Is about sensitizing children on what social vices are and avoiding them.

Children are the foundation of every society and the hope for a better future. However, the rise in social vices such as drug abuse, bullying, lying, stealing, cultism, and early exposure to immoral behavior poses a serious threat to their development. Many of these vices are introduced to children through peer pressure, media influence, broken homes, and a lack of proper guidance.

Without early intervention, these behaviors can shape a child’s character negatively, leading to lifelong consequences such as academic failure, criminal tendencies, and social instability. It is therefore, because of the need to educate children at an early age on the dangers of social vices and equip them with the values and skills they need to make wise decisions, that we introduce the project SHINE RIGHT.

This project is designed to serve as a proactive measure, using interactive learning, creative expression, and strong mentorship to raise awareness and promote positive character development among children. By instilling values such as honesty, respect, responsibility, and self-control, the project aims to guide children toward a virtuous lifestyle and help them grow into responsible and productive members of society.

So when we went to Upu village for our first Menstrual Health and Hygiene Awareness Campaign, we received an appeal from the Vice Principal of the school that hosted our campaign concerning two bright students who had lost their parents and are struggling to further their academics.

As part of our objective as an organization, we ensured these two students have access to unhindered and uninterrupted education by paying their fees. So met our June beneficiaries:
1. Deborah Oigoga
2. Emmanuel Okwulu
