What a day yesterday’s Easyfest was.

A wonderful jaunt from thornes HQ to Horburys The Calder Vale Hotel, for music, pie & beer.
A great day raising money for charity all in the memory of two of wakefields finest, Ian & Bedi.

The new backline kit got its first outing along with one of our new laney cabs.

Well done to all who, organised, helped, played & came to watch the bands.

when we set out to build new studios in Wakefield the intention was to not follow suit and have utterly rubbish, often cheap, quickly wrecked or old drum gear like most studios!
The drummers really do seem to get the crap end of the stick when it comes to rehearsal space!

But we also know daily heavy use takes its toll on all equipment & the problem is there are so many items in a drum kit the costs add up.

Steve and the good people at Sonor have found a way to not only furnish us with a full set of hardware for each room but also thrones and pedals too.
This stuff is the 4000 series, it’s pro touring grade gear, it’s as sturdy as it gets and has every adjustment you can imagine…

its so hard & ready for action it should have its own Rocky style training montage!

Aren’t mic stands just utter pants! Even the most expensive ones are flimsy and annoying, every studio has piles and piles of broken & bodge repaired ones…. Enough of this nonsense!

We are going for the cymbal stand to microphone conversions, far sturdier, far more adjustable and they stay put once set… it’s complete overkill but what the hell!

For the bass players we have Laney Amplification’s tiny but massive sounding Digbeth bass amps combined with their 4 x 10, 600w bass cab… oooooooophhhhhhh!
