For one magical day, Beverley Festival of Christmas will transform the historic town centre into a huge festive wonderland featuring:

Yorkshire’s boundaries may have changed—but our roots go back centuries. 💙

Before 1974, Yorkshire was divided into three historic Ridings: North, East and West. Most of what we now know as South Yorkshire was part of the West Riding.

The 1974 changes created South Yorkshire, which has since built a strong and proud identity of its own.

Celebrating the historic Ridings doesn’t take anything away from that. They’re all part of Yorkshire’s story—then and now.

The famous Yorkshire village has been described by the national press as England’s ultimate autumn destination—and it’s not difficult to understand why.

Its cobbled Main Street, independent shops, cosy pubs and surrounding moors are especially beautiful at this time of year.

But social media has brought bigger crowds, packed streets and increasingly busy weekends.

Is that popularity brilliant for Haworth and its local businesses—or is the village slowly losing some of the charm that made people fall in love with it?
