In this exclusive interview, Dr. Vivekananda Murthy Kadiyala shares his incredible journey as a doctor, actor, and mimicry artist. Born in Tanuku, West Godavari, into a family with a deep-rooted passion for arts, drama, and philosophy, Dr. Murthy’s love for theatre and storytelling began in childhood.
A distinguished medical professional with 51 years of experience, he completed his MBBS from Andhra University in 1973. Alongside his medical career, he became a renowned mimicry artist and actor, performing in Telugu films with legends like Chittoor Nagayya, Kongara Jaggayya, and ANR. His comedy playlet, You Only Love Twice, captivated generations of Andhra Medical College students.
Dr. Murthy also made a significant mark in Telugu literature, publishing 35 short stories, including the famous collection Neelaveni (1977). His writing earned praise from literary greats like Devarakonda Balagangadhar Tilak.
