Not the Final Vinyl exists because music is medicine, and everyone deserves to be heard.
We’re a grassroots Welsh label championing the voices that commercial systems overlook - disabled artists, neurodivergent creators, working-class musicians who make magic outside industry channels. We believe Wales’ underground music scene holds treasures that need preserving, celebrating, and sharing.
This vision came to me through my father Reinold, a toymaker and wandering musician who lived by the principle that business should serve joy, not extract profit. He and my mother Dianne ran Rhinoceros Productions, filling toy cupboards across Wales and beyond with handcrafted wonders while taking only what they needed. Before he passed, he entrusted me with this path: create a platform where authentic voices can flourish.
Our first release was “Longwinded Soundbites” - recordings of my father and me making music together, the seed from which everything grows. Every release since carries that same spirit: music as connection, creativity as service, sound as sanctuary.
We operate on love, not commercial logic. Artists receive honorarium payments because we believe creativity has value. We’re working toward full accessibility including screen-reader compatibility because inclusion isn’t optional. We document Wales’ musical underground because these stories matter, these sounds deserve preservation.
This is karma yoga in action - using our skills and passion to serve something larger than ourselves. Every release is an offering, every artist we support is part of building a more inclusive, creative Wales.
The vinyl may not be final, but the commitment is eternal: to honor the music that moves us, the artists who create it, and the community that makes it all possible.
Sound is sacred. Voices matter. Wales’ underground music scene deserves its due.
That’s why we’re here. That’s why this matters. That’s why we’ll keep going.
