MR Photography My name is Michael Rickwood and my camera journey started in the 1960s.

Well finally took my exhibition down at the Newcastle Civic Centre after 3 great weeks. I have to thank the staff for being so helpful and supportive. I made some great contacts, made some interesting sales The ketch James Cook print is off to expats in Finland, Australia, and America and the River God Tyne is off to France and Norway. So a great couple of weeks plus I've been asked to exhibit again in November watch this space.

The magical Civic Centre, a hidden gem at the north of the city centre.
The stories behind the sculpture are fascinating. The five swans representing the Nordic countries, the River God Tyne named as Cor a blind giant who gave his name to Corbridge, and the sea horses representing Newcastle seafaring legacy and ship building. I love to capture these images and share the history behind my prints. My exhibition at the civic centre still has another week to run, why not call in and see my interpretation of our heritage.
