We’re getting the senior season underway with a bit of friendly rivalry!

Our 1st & 2nd teams are combining for an inter-club match this Saturday. Lions v Lions, with bragging rights up for grabs! 💪

We’re back! Minis & Juniors rugby returns this Sunday 6th September at 10am at Deal & Betteshanger Rugby Club. 🦁

Whether your child has played before or has never picked up a rugby ball, they’ll be made to feel welcome. Rugby is about so much more than the game – it’s about making friends, building confidence, learning new skills and being part of the rugby family. 🖤🤍

🏉🍽️ Full-time: FUN 7 - 0

This summer we swapped pre-fitness warm-ups for something a little different. Free cookery workshops for our U11s, U12s and U13s, all about nutrition and fuelling young bodies for rugby.

Together the kids made Chinese-style chicken cups: rice noodles, black beans, carrot, lettuce and coriander, finished with fresh lime and sweet chilli sauce for that perfect sweet/salty/bitter/hot balance.

The results from our parent survey say it all:
✅ 100% of kids had fun
✅ 100% tried something they'd never eaten before
✅ 100% of families want more sessions like this

🏉 YEAR 9? LOOKING FOR A NEW CHALLENGE? COME AND JOIN THE LIONS! 🦁

Deal & Betteshanger RFC U14s are recruiting for the 2026/27 season!

We’re looking for boys going into Year 9 this September to come along and become part of a brilliant group of players.

Whether you’ve been playing rugby for years, played before and fancy getting back into it, or have never picked up a rugby ball in your life — you’ll be made very welcome.

And there’s absolutely nothing to lose by giving it a go — your first sessions are completely FREE of charge. Come along, meet the coaches and the lads, have a run around and see whether rugby is for you before making any commitment.

Our U14s are about much more than what happens for 60 minutes on a Sunday.

🇯🇲 JAMAICA FAMILY DAY IS COMING TO THE DEN! 🦁🏉

Join us for a fantastic day of rugby, live music, Caribbean food and family fun as we welcome the Jamaica Rugby team to Deal & Betteshanger Rugby Club for what promises to be an unforgettable start to the new season.

A reminder for tomorrow Lions!

🦁 Calling all Lions… big and small! 🖤🤍

The Carnival is nearly here, and we want our float to be packed with as many Deal & Betteshanger Lions as possible!

Whether you’re a current player, parent, grandparent, coach, volunteer, social member, touch player, summer fitness regular, or just love being part of our club… come and join us!

🎉 Thursday 30th July

🛠 2.00pm – Come to the club and help decorate the float.

🎭 5.15pm – Meet on Walmer Seafront (near the Julius Caesar Monument) ready for the parade.

⚫⚪ Wear your Lions kit… or simply black and white.
💧 Bring water and snacks to keep you fuelled.
😊 Most importantly… bring your biggest smile and your loudest cheer!

This is one of our favourite events of the year, celebrating our club and our amazing community. The more Lions we have walking together, the better!
