My Son is 18 Today!
Welcome to Adulthood, My Precious Boy!
How do I begin to describe the joy that fills my heart today?
18 years ago, God blessed me with my first fruit — my womb opener. The journey to his birth wasn’t easy, but God saw me through and gave me a healthy, beautiful baby boy. Since then, it’s been nothing short of grace.
My marriage is 19 years, and this amazing boy has walked with us through the seasons. He’s not just my son, he’s my best friend, my personal chef, my biggest cheerleader, my joy giver.
Nwa mara obi nne ya.
He is my support system — always looking out for me, always wanting me to be happy.
During my UK driving lessons, he was there, every step of the way, encouraging me until I finally passed. What a gift from God!
Today, I pray for you, my son:
May your light never go dim.
May you stand out for greatness and be a shining example to your siblings.
You will go from glory to glory.
May heaven back you up in all you do.
You will live long, in joy, in peace, and in purpose.
You will never lack help.
God will raise men for you in places you cannot reach.
You will always make us proud.
The hand of God will remain mighty upon you, and you will fulfil destiny.
