The life of whales is more amazing than we think. They are not just animals, but also living organisms that form the basis of ecosystems.
When a whale dies, it does not disappear. It slowly sinks to the ocean floor through a phenomenon known as 'whale fall' (whale fall). This moment is not the end, it is the beginning of a new life. The body of the dead whale becomes an entire ecosystem that provides food for thousands of unique creatures that would not find a place anywhere else. ππ¦
Whales do more than just serve this purpose. Throughout their lives, they contribute carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere. This is mainly done by bringing nutrients up into the ocean through their f***s, stimulating the growth of phytoplankton (s***m algae). These phytoplankton sequester a large amount of CO2 through photosynthesis. And when whales die and fall to the ocean floor, they take the *carbon* they contain with them. This carbon helps to keep the ocean floor covered in carbon, which is trapped throughout the cells, and helps to cool our food. ππ§
While alive, whales sing their own unique "songs." These are not just sounds, but sounds powerful enough to travel thousands of miles across the ocean. πΆ These are the bonds, memories, and love that mothers use to talk to their calves, communicate with their herds, and bond with them. π
Did you know, a blue whale's beak is the size of a small car! π€― It only beats twice per minute during a dive. This shows: Be silent through the truth. π
In the past, sailors feared whales, but today we know them as the guardians of the joys of the sea. They are innocent giants. π Just as elephants show love and kindness on land, whales carry love and kindness across the water.
External greatness is not noisy.
It sings.
It remembers.
It gives good things.
And when the time comes - translate it into good. ππ
