The last weekend of scarefest I decided to treated me and George to a hotel stay over in splash landings at resort ❤️
It’s so nice getting to drop our bags into the room excited knowing we get to relax after , order a delicious pizza at the hotel a busy day then snuggle into our cosy beds and me not have to travel home an back again with the added bonus of a yummy buffet breakfast made in the morning for us to !
( poor stu has been not well join us this half term having fun :( x )

And a big thank you to Ben and Hollie for the lovely company and laughs it was fab getting to end scarefest together again for another season xx

We have had the best time over scarefest 2025 , lapping mazes with our unlimited scares passes ( so worth the money ! ) compound you were fantastic this weekend thanks for putting me in isolation 😂, Alton ville mine tours you lot are bonkers and I loved it ! And edge of the forrest is so unique a great new addition to the line up .
We also paid and did the family mazes a few times become we needed our Barry the worm fix and Harribo😂
The 2 free scare zones have been brilliant - we looooove dark hollow !! The idea of bringing back historical figures within it from old mazes in a fresh new way us nerds loved .
We loved riding our favourite coasters as night rides which are always next level vibes in the dark running insanely fast.
Got to meet up with friends making memories together , watching the awesome show and vibing along when the ancestors are performing .
It’s been a pleasure ! I have to say a huge thank you for the fantastic job and hard work of all the team this year behind scarefest with bringing the parks magic alive for us ✨
Am not ready for scarefest to be over and definitely not ready for Alton towers last week of the season this weekend but at least we have fireworks to look forward to and no one does fireworks like Alton towers 🫶.

Halloween 2025!
We sometimes forget that Halloween 2023 was the first year that we weren’t wandering through the Christmas displays at Bents. 2025 has seen further George developments including an enhanced lighting package, the creepy dolls house and expansion of Dia de los Mu***os. The 6 7 pumpkins were particularly well received by our visitors and the witches cauldron. Thank you for all the kind words.
It was fab to see so many people out and about and so many (including parents) who had gone to the effort of dressing up, we had dinosaurs, aliens, unicorn, flamingo, sharks, Harry Potter, Wednesday Adams…. And so lovely to have such well mannered children visit us.

If anyone needs a 13year old (Halloween 2026) with an eye for detail to help produce a Scarezone or Scaremaze

Back in June for Father’s Day I surprised Stuart and grandad Dave with the gift of becoming part of Blackpool “ The wall of names “ ❤️
I can’t believe i managed to keep the secret I was so close to telling them because of how excited I was 😂

Blackpool pleasure beach as a family hold so many wonderful memories for each of us over our lives , i remember my parents taking me what i was younger and now am getting to do that with George 🫶

Nan and grandad also love trips to Blackpool and the seaside so a few years got a caravan so we could all enjoy making memories together which we feel so grateful to them for helping us have those memories because of them .

So the thought came to me of how special it would be to see our names with Nan and grandad up there together as a legacy to remind us always of the good times we spend together there , to remind us of the fun and laughter we share there, the lovely feeling of your heart being full by spending time with loved ones and reminder of what a special chapter of our life this adventure has been .

I was quite emotional seeing the bricks for the first time there last weekend , now our legacy lives on in that wall and who knows one day maybe when George might have a family he will be able to show his kids them when visiting pleasure beach on adventures with them.

Did you know that have selected dates that are available to book for the ages of 10 - 16 yrs old, Am not clowning around ! 🤡

We think this is a fantastic idea because that middle age group are either to old for kids events an now a lot of adults scare events are becoming very intense pushing the fear levels so minimum age restrictions are starting to be around 16yrs.
(which is understandable as a lot of them ones aren’t suitable for kids)

It has all the same scares as adults event night but has a safe word added !
This safe word means if shouted out the actors stop, step away allowing to walk past, what a great idea !

We thought it was great value for money with 8 scare attractions included (mazes , tractor ride , corn field) I’ve been to a number of scare events and spooky worlds mazes I thought were a really decent length.
Some Great themes and designs but for me the actors here were brill they really got in character giving everything .
Plenty of roaming actors, hilarious watching people run from while sat eating my Nutella pancake lol, an fair rides ( an extra cost )
(Tip do the tractor ride last 😂 we luckily did so when we ended up like we had been through a car wash we only had to head home looking like downed rats)

The team at we found every one fantastic ! The staff manning mazes, security ,actors and food service workers all love their jobs , all really helpful and friendly .

So if you’re looking for a scare event to attend with high school ages kids as a family this is ideal ! And we highly recommend booking it to give it a go !
(look for the selection of dates available for the 10-16yrs event when booking)

Not to forget they have a daytime kids event for the little ones and the adults only events available so something for everyone.

When reaching the end of Dark Hollow have you spotted the extra “thirteen girl” in the distance? We love how much thought has gone into the immersion of the Scare Zone, along with pieces from the Alton Towers archives.

Newsham scream park liverpool !
What an incredible setting for a scare attraction, well known as one of the uk most haunted buildings it was once an orphanage, asylum & Newsham park hospital. Honestly walking up to the entrance the building is so eerily imposing towering above you glowing red like it demands you to give it all your attention or else ! 😅

A huge thank you to team for inviting me to experience there event.
Joining me for the night my friends Luci and Darren, experts of all things scare events/horror related & a great laugh.

The event has 4 mazes, a horror selfie area, a main hub area with live music, food and bar, roaming actors, dancers, fire performers, tarot cards & physic reading (additional charge)

Mazes -
1 larst resort- my favourite of the night because of how well it worked with the building history .
Themed to an old peoples home who are dying to have your company 😉 the actors were exceptional , it felt like being part of a live theatre of horror. This had some design elements I’ve never experienced in a scare maze that were really clever an unique, lots of jump scares & funny moments.

2 Victorian psycho- become part of a Jack the Ripper horror drama in real life, you head down to the basement & are greeted by jacks wife telling you a story of terror in the slums theming. Then make your way into the narrow alleyways of encountering some very disturbing and dodgy characters.

3 Phantasma’s Hall of Freaks- round up round up! The ringmaster wants you to step into her show, listen with fascination , the freaks are out an invitation is extended to you! Step into there world but are you ready for what’s to come. (great way of using the building & themed brilliantly)

4 witch hunt- this is blind folded, the idea is your sentenced in court, guilty of being a witch, you hold a rope to find your way while being shouted at by angry locals. I liked the idea but felt like something was missing to get it to the same other 3s level.
