Rustici leccesi are a delicious and tasty specialty from Salento. Ideal as a snack at any time of day. A crispy and crumbly disk of golden puff pastry that encloses a soft filling of béchamel, tomato and mozzarella! The first time I tasted it I was absolutely enchanted. I could never have imagined, just thinking about the ingredients it was made of, how good it could be.
Rustici leccesi are easy and quick to prepare and should be eaten warm; in Salento they are easily found in all rotisseries or bars and in the summer they are the classic food to take to the beach! They are worth trying, I assure you that they will win you over from the first bite!

With the arrival of September, I tried my hand at making Settembrini biscuits. A really tasty little recipe. Settembrini are delicious biscuits with a soft filling made with fig jam or fresh figs. Very simple to prepare at home. They keep perfectly for up to 4/5 days (if you don't finish them all at once!). They are excellent for breakfast or a snack, a great idea if you want to give them as a gift to someone you care about.

Chocolate chip muffins are delicious and very simple sweets. They can be prepared in many different versions, with various types of ingredients and fillings. I chose this variant because they are my children's favorites and what wouldn't you do for them, right? As a rule, these muffins require the use of butter, but they also turn out well with oil, taller and softer and I must say that I prefer them. If you want, instead of seed oil you can also use a very light olive oil. If you choose the version with butter, you can replace the 80 ml of oil indicated with 100 g of melted butter!
